I am tired, not to the extreme I was in the old place. Having looked back the last few days, I don't know how I did manage to stay fairly sane and do my job.
Turns out I got my use up holiday by x date wrong, it's calendar year not financial year. I'm going to be booking some more time off 🤫
I'm also going to submit my flexible working request as there's a bit of miffed ness going on which made me so angry when I was told today.
I'm just letting lunch settle down, then I'm going into the garden to chop and cut things up, it will relieve how I've been feeling since the call, but loads of meds and a hot shower will hopefully calm anything enflamed.
Tree surgeon is coming next week; here is the online me doing a dance as the me me sits with feet up 💃 (hopefully that little image works!). Hopefully by next weekend it will be full steam ahead to get the garden finished 😁
Popped out to get my garden supplies, got my compost, bark mulch and greenhouse. Will keep a close eye on their FB page to see when they get herbs back in stock, have to be so quick to buy the useful ones.
I've also been to the butcher, picked up goodies for a fry up tonight.
-- I know it's going to cost a bit more, but I am going to keep buying from the local butcher. I've had a few days of buying from him, that my supermarket meat just isn't coming anywhere close to what I'm getting from him. Will rejig my shopping to still bring it within my small food budget.
Anyhow, time for sun and air!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Your flat sounds lovely! I wish I had a secret garden! My garden is tiny but I enjoy caring for it and it’s enough for my dogs to have a little play in. Enjoy doing your garden and flat up 😊3

Sounds as though you're having a little bit of problem with work. Does that mean you have to take unpaid leave, or you actually have more holiday than you thought?Hope you get your flexible working sorted out.... is it just petty jealousy from certain people do you think?Anyway in between times enjoy your home and garden, it's not worth getting angry/stressed about other people.... just make sure you have the last laugh!
(((hugs)))

SYA - apologies I missed your post. It's only the bedrooms which have a double point, all the others have several!
FB - I probably make the gardens sound larger than they are. One day I will take a tape measure out 😁
C - someone with temporary power and it's gone to their head, which they have in the sand. Last laugh will be mine and it will be dealt with tomorrow.
The flexible working request is just a form filling exercise as I've verbal approval of what I'm planning and full support by the person who approves it 😁
My holiday year ends sooner than I thought, so I don't have to make it last as long as I did 🤗
Spent this afternoon in the garden, cutting up twigs / thin branches. My new secateurs arrived and they are brilliant, means less effort required by me. A few tree stumps came out, I carefully went round moving the soil out the way and uncovering the big roots, then left my OH to do the hard work. Doing a few more tomorrow.
One good thing I'm learning is what I can / can't physically do and which part of me causes the restriction. Normally I would get upset if I couldn't do something, today I tried something realised I couldn't do it, said why I couldn't and found something else to do in the garden instead. I basically need to sit down while doing tasks, so that's what I did 🙈
Tomorrow afternoon is more sitting down gardening, hopefully the weather will be good. If not it's more unpacking!

Great about the holidays, and definitely better to be grateful for the things we can do than bemoan the things we can't manage... it certainly makes for a happier life.

Hello the people that cause hassle are the one with the problem you are doing the right thing. They sound like sad muppets and take it with them wherever they go so you enjoy your house and enjoy the paradise. Some time off is a timely blessing I hope as you can really use it to make inroads to your house and garden and rest in between. I do hope you can get some herbs, they are so hardy and make the garden smell nice! Weather is bright today I hope it is by you perfect for gardening.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

I sent the email off, it was very long!
Had more stuff dropped off, unpacked some of that after work, need to do the rest tomorrow and work my way through the remainder of the previous drop offs. One more drop off and then it's the charity stuff I bagged up before moving. Unpacking feels like one for me, one for charity!
Hopefully two of the tree stumps will come out this afternoon. I will just be uncovering it with the trowel I found in my garden, whilst sitting down of course 😁 thankfully today is another sunny warm day.
Found a fabulous bruise on some of my fingers / palm of my hand today. Probably best I've no more twigs to cut 🤫

Quite a productive afternoon. Two and a half tree / bush stumps down, three and a half to go.
When the monster tree comes down, the stump is going to chopped to ground level. As that part needs loads of TLC, a raised bed is going to be made and put in that section. That will be my salad garden.
Some of the other to do tasks include getting loads of slate or similar delivered and spreading that on the shared garden path. It will make it look a lot nicer and stop the weeds / grass. (Cost £150 max as buying bulk)
I've a path between my /neighbour garden to get lifted and replaced. I refuse to walk on it the state it's in. Won't cost much to do that bit either. (Cost £20 max for new / used slabs)
The secret garden is slowly coming together.
-- My seating area is nearly finished, just the tree to come down and three stumps to get chopped.
-- The segment for the greenhouse needs a little bit more clearing / tidying.
-- I'm going to do the compost area next time. There's roof felt I need to take up and cut into bits to get rid of.
Once both trees are down I can get all three segments finished off, pick what herbs I want and start growing in my greenhouse.
One of the things I'm enjoying is finding random tools in the garden, whilst they're old, there's loads of life in them and saving me money 😁Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

SYA every day I can see the changes, the secret garden is coming into its own and will be ready by next weekend; subject to tree surgeon attending!
A courtyard is great and easy to maintain. Potted plants dotted around for colour and nature to visit. There's such a wide choice of slabs, it would be easy to make it your own.
Lawns do require too much TLC to keep them looking nice, but are not my thing either.
I've a washing line post, which will get trimmed down so a rotary dryer can go in. That will be dealt with soon as it's by monster tree. Haven't a clue where the other post is, although a suspect mound is where it may have been.
Whole day off today and will involve a bit of gardening, bit of unpacking and some shopping as some things are needed for the garden eg saw, broom etc. Rest is also planned.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3
