His quote was good, stump removal is nearly as much as the felling, so leaving that. The guy said it expensive to do and didn't recommend I do it, which was really nice of him.The monster tree will come down, the smaller one will be to the height of the stone wall behind it and I'm going to put a platform on it to make a table. Currently on the lookout for some unusual seats to compliment it, but low priority to buy.
Fridge ordered, over a week til it arrives.
Today's wake up call was flying cat as she wanted to sit in a cupboard next to the chimney breast! She's starting to settle and discovered the windows in the lounge 😻Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Grabbed some more stuff from the old flat this morning, another couple of car trips and that will be done.
I keep changing my mind about furniture placement in the bedroom and office / dressing room, both are about to have the third switch around 🙈 will make a final decision over the weekend then unpack and sort my clothes out.
I'm going to be working my way through everything, bagging my unwanted things and storing them ready for when the charity shops reopen.
Will probably just rest for the remainder of today, although I've a few bits to move out the lounge so I can push the sofas back a few foot. The lounge furniture is in the right position / angle etc, therefore minimum effort required.
Just had a mexicana cheese baguette. I picked up some decaf flavoured sachets yesterday, as a little treat.
Left over roast chicken for tea tonight.

Glad to hear you are resting today. Cheese baguette sounds delish. I have the same problem with formatting as I usually post on my phone.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Normally my formatting is fine as I always surf the internet on my phone. It appears because I'm struggling for signal it's switching to a 'lite' mobile version which limits what I can do! Think I may have a workaround, let's see what happens with this post.
This afternoon I had a nap, went to the local butchers and had a look round a public garden. Been in the garden plotting and have ordered a polytunnel and some compost. Just need to wait for the call to say I can collect it 😁
So determined to get this garden up and running!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Wow you're really motoring. I love the idea of a polytunnel.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's more like a walk-in greenhouse, but was under the polytunnel section and had £25 off, so thought it was worth picking up. I will get a polytunnel at some point.
The secret garden runs the length of my plot, half will remain as the secret garden, the other half is having my greenhouse / poly with compost area behind that and the herb garden runs round the interior two walls. This should realistically be up and running by the end of next month.
Current main priorities are:
-- getting all the trees / bushes out, previous owner hacked a few down so stumps need to be taken out / dealt with. A couple are sprouting, most are not.
-- the shared path between my garden and the one before it. Needs removing, a proper supporting edging put up, the soil being evened out and decent slabs putting down.
I am getting a lot of help with the garden and unfortunately can only do lighter tasks, my mind is willing and ready to go, my body says no!
This morning I will be unpacking / organising the kitchen 😀Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Happy organising the kitchen. It sounds like you have lots of projects on the go at once. I think when I moved in I did the kitchen and everything else stayed in boxes for months!!!!Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Typed up a response only to encounter technical difficulties....got frustrated and unpacked / organised the kitchen.
Realised I do not have a plug socket anywhere near the pantry, where the fridge is going, so will buy an extension lead, tack it along the wall until it gets to a socket. Not the best plan, but viable until I can get another socket in the kitchen. Got 8 power points and thinking I should have just purchased the smaller table top fridge to put on the freezer ooops!
Just got clothes, shoes, books and random bits to unpack. But I'm having more stuff dropped over from my old place this afternoon. My home isn't big enough to have boxes scattered everywhere and seeing them is beginning to irritate me.
Having a rest now and may have a walk round the village in a bit, haven't decided what to have for tea.
Moved some money to the savings pots last night 🤭Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
