Thanks Skinty, I just get lucky with the local shop!
Weather has turned again and storms are brewing, I'll probably stay in and send TomBo to get my meds in the morning.
Payday in a few days. I'm looking forward to seeing the back of my CC bill and can get back to clearing the car finance at the end of February.
I made spicy tomato and Italian meat soup when I got in, we had chia seed bread with it.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thanks SH and Skinty
I forgot to switch the boiler timer off last night, had my typical weekend panic and groan 'urgh, can't do another day at work as I'm exhausted", before the penny dropped it was Saturday and I got up due being unsettled.
- it's not a digital timer otherwise I could set it M-F only.
Made it to 9am, went back to bed and had 3 hours of broken sleep.
The first storm has passed and was howling all night. I thought the windows would blow open or come off their hinges. A few flats have had bits come off up the road, no damaged trees etc. All our block bins have moved around and fallen, but no point dealing with them until the second storm has gone; it's brewing!
TomBo has got my meds; he doesn't like me going out when the weather isn't nice as I'm unstable on my feet at the best of times. No bargains at the local shop. He's gone for a run by the coast down the road, which is a worry today.
Not sure if I said we got Burns night date wrong, however were having the haggis and tatties later!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Love haggis!y mum came over and we had a burns night dinner together. She bought extra haggis for some reason so I have a spare to eat at some point over the next few weeks
hope the storm doesn’t do too much damage2 -
The wind is horrendous down here, nearly got blown off my feet this morning. Definitely indoors weather!2

Thank you FBB and atrixa
I didn't enjoy the haggis too much, it was quite dry, I prefer the one I buy from the butcher; it's still mass produced up here but has moisture and more flavour.
I plucked a few eyebrows yesterday, it's easier to do while they still resemble how they're threaded.
TomBo planted my last 2 raspberry bushes in the garden, I harvested some carrots. My garlic and onions are doing well, kale is thriving as is everything else.
I've sorted through my seeds into keep and donate. Set up one propagator, will do the others another weekend. Just have to work out my sowing order and brace myself for a few sessions. Hopefully I'll keep on schedule this year due to having a less demanding job and working my set hours.
Aside from that I've had my feet up today 😊Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Been working with numbers about the existing mortgage and inheritance.
If I pay it in full, I save over £36k in interest. Provided TomBo kept paying me what he does we could save up the money to replace the inheritance within 3 years.
I asked TomBo if he wanted me to clear the mortgage, it turns out there was a misunderstanding with him about the inheritance, I've explained again and he understood.
He wants me to save the inheritance, keep saving each month and buy another property. I've a verbal list of no go areas and I'm to get a bungalow for my ease. I said where I've been looking and shown a couple of examples. It's down to me to pick the property and get the best I can, costal or inland village-type again.
I'm setting a 3 year target to have saved up enough, receive my inheritance and get me down to £0 or ¹/2% ERCs.
Now I just have to decide whether to continue the current O/Ps or save that towards the next place.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
