Painting sounds lovely, perhaps a swim could fill some time and give you some head space at the same time.

    Glad the cat is OK.

Sadly I don't have the spare money for swimming as I've a lot of petrol to pay for.

I'm feeling wiped out this evening and resting up.

    Had spag bol for tea.

Payday tomorrow and I'm hoping my budget is right; I'm a little on edge as I don't know how much I'm picking up.

Ouch to the commute but glad it's not having too negative an effect.

I love the idea of a monchrome painting - it could be very dramatic. I had a picture then of art deco style curves and flourishes - more outlines than filled in... Wondered if that would go well with the period of your flat.

  • Thanks SH

It was an emotional one as I'm in contact with another relative, one I've found memories of.

I get out a bit earlier some days to do a small errand and unfortunately the place had closed. It meant I had to get to my village really quick to do it, driving at 70mph, aside from a couple of villages. I think it was this that wiped me out due to concentrating hard.

Unfortunately, I then had to fill up my car as I may not have had enough petrol to get home tomorrow. Cursed the petrol pump for declining my car, struggled to walk to pay inside and my card was declined; I'd been trying to pay with an expired card 🙈 didn't appreciate having to walk back to my car, back to pay and back again to the car.

I've been meaning to do a mono for ages. I have previously experimented with very limited colours and did like how it worked. Interesting you say about not filling a painting in as that's also on my to do list 😀

I haven't gone full art deco, but it does have a traditional feel.

I'll have to do what my brushes come up with!

  • I'd second your thoughts entirely on funerals and estates. My parents went into a nursing home and I commenced plans to sell their home.  A few months after moving in, my mother passed away then just 11 weeks after her my father passed away.  At that point, I still hadn't sold the house.  Once I had been through that, I made sure my affairs were worked out and visible to my nearest and dearest with pin point accuracy.

Happy painting. I have got mixed up with expired cards recently, it is easily done! Hope you are resting.

  • Thank you LW2G and SW, it was just what I didn't need as I do seize up driving and struggle to walk afterwards. My trip down south will be interesting!

Thank you MW, I always thought my mom would end up in a home and the house gets swallowed, but she didn't and it's the only big thing I have to deal with.

I got paid today, no tax and NI deducted, so picked up more than I worked it out to be. I'll be ok to get through to the end of the year when I get paid again.

    Bills come out tomorrow.

Had beef stew type thing for tea, sweets for pudding.

  • Sorry to hear about your struggles at the petrol station. I have found out that shell do attendant service near me. I have emailed to ask if they put air in tyres as well as fill the car up.
