    Thanks SH and Skinty

I get TomBo to check the tyre pressures in winter 🤭

All the bills, aside from bank fee, have come out this month. Standing orders have gone to savings, I have to redo my savings goals on two accounts later (mortgage EF and bills EF).

Bills EF goal set, that should reach £1k in 5 months, which is the maximum amount for good interest.

Mortgage EF goal set, should reach enough to cover 5 months by July, I've currently got 4 months. I try and save 2 months worth a year.

Work is ticking over and I've been taught a new aspect today, which is what I'm used to doing in my previous career and it's a doddle 🤭

We had mystery meat (maybe pork) with pasta for tea.

    Sad side

Done a bit of the probate side as letters were sent to my mom's. Dealt with one online, have to call the other; both are issuing little refunds.

Not heard from the SP / P.credit yet.

I think there may be enough cash to cover all the remaining outgoings, provided it starts coming in soon, otherwise I'll have to pay and wait.

Lastly, this will come as a surprise but I'm stuck with one maths calculation, if anyone is able to assist, I'd be grateful! Drop me a message and I'll provide the info 😊

  • Good news that you have sorted a few more things and there looks like being enough money to cover everything. If you can’t work out the maths problem I’m sorry I probably won’t be able to either. Maths was never my subject 😆

I hope you get your math's problem sorted - not my strength.

Well done for keeping going. You are doing amazing.

    Thanks Skinty, SW and SH

SW, You did help me as I was writing up the details and spotted my error; I missed a month out and quickly got the right answer!

Maths isn't my thing either, aside from basic calculations. I struggle without a calculator or spreadsheet as I've not got enough fingers 🙈 it's quite contradictory as I've worked with figures and high monetary values for years 🤭 and I'm now doing finance 🤣 but I am methodical at work and triple check my results and not assume I'm right first time 😊

Popped to A1DI after work, picked up meat, cheese, milk and other staple items, spent £35.

I'm hoping to have a pamper shower tomorrow, paint my nails at some point over the weekend and pop to the garden.

Had sausage, mash and onion gravy for tea.

    Sad side.

Had to make a few phone calls to one company, spent about 90 minutes getting everything resolved and had to lodge a complaint. I've had to do more with this company to get about £11 refunded to the estate compared to the utilities where it's over £300 coming in.

Bank account closure has been processed and the money received.

Nothing from the DWP about overpaid pension.

On paper, it looks like there's enough cash in the estate to pay all the expected expenses.

That will just leave obtaining probate and dealing with the property, but that's not for this year.

Glad there should be enough£ for the main expenses.

Hope you pamper yourself later and that it helps

Maths is a funny one, my mum had a high powered career in finance and isn't great at calculations, my dad has no qualifications but ran a shop for years and he can do almost anything in his head (but was never any help with maths homework because his method was never the "proper" one!)

Sorry you've got to deal with all of this stuff, and the companies don't make it simple at all. Hope you get time to do something nice for yourself this weekend.
