SW - the heat isn't too bad as I'm doing it in the front of the flat, which doesn't get much sun into the rooms.

SH - I've had a proper look since and its a healthy glow, been able to get a gentle tan each year since moving. Packing is a chore, but I still remember how stressed / anxious I got doing it to move into this one. I would sooner have 99% packed and have a small bag of the remaining things to grab on the day, than wait until getting the keys and rush to pack.

I've set up a new spreadsheet for my savings, now I've the AFs and MSAs in full. Didn't fancy keeping my original one going when I move as it's a fresh start and new goals / plans. For now, I'm updating both of them, but it's good to see how much money I actually have as my savings and I'm making frequent transfers to build my pots up.

Been looking at savings accounts with a reasonable APR, picked two out and got to hope they are available when I complete. I can't risk opening them yet.

New savings budget worked out for between now and whenever I complete, plus post completion. It probably seems daft having various accounts, but I would sooner have the different pots for various aspects.

That will do for tonight as my post is getting too long!

Decided to make a start on filing my papers, it appears I'm very OCD about keeping everything as I've got stuff relating to the last rental 🙈

Anyhow, everything I grabbed has now been filed, I've still got 3x drawers to go through, but there is now way I'm going to get that filed away the way things stand.
-- need to go through the file and remove unnecessary paperwork.
-- swap to online bills / statements, not CT / HMRC as they are great for paper ID requirements.
-- will get the remaining drawers done throughout the week.

Moved a bit more money to savings as it's payday in a few days and I've completed another survey.

Going to relax for the rest of today and browse through the IKE@ catalogue I've discovered in my papers.

Have fun with 1ke@ catalogue. Most of our shelving or drawers are from there.

All of my cabinets /units / tables are too, although usually via 8HF. I always like a good look round their shop before 'having' to buy new; they raise money and I get bargains!

I've never had any issues with 1KE@, everything fixes together as expected and it's also solid / sturdy, considering how it's made.

I do enjoy a good window shop / browse as it doesn't cost anything and is great for finding ideas 😁

We've had some problems with their 'm@lm' chests of drawers - but now I think they have fixed that problem

I've got one of them and the ta11b0y?

The M range is the one I've picked for my new bed; had one in the last rental and it was so convenient with the shelf round both sides to put my book / phone on and I crammed a load of things under it. Was a decent height for me to get up from too 😁

I've considered their built-in wardrobes, but I've a design in mind to create additional storage, and none of them are what I can visualise; will probably work out cheaper to have someone make / fit what I want.

Been looking at the particulars this afternoon and I think I'm starting to get a little excited, I could feel a smile brewing!

@savingwannabe it's because I have so much thinking time on my hands, loads of paper and pens and often draw my plans out! I printed off about 5 copies of the floorplan just to work layouts out 🙈🙈

I got the tape measure out at work ages ago, put markers down to show the size of the big bedroom, then created markers to show where furniture would go and available space round it. Did the same with the second bedroom too.

It was good to see how my ideas would work. The bedrooms are 'galley style' which will put some people off, they have the space for a bed head to toe width ways.
For me I saw them as a great opportunity due to the length of them, to have sections
    - wardrobe, bed, units in the big one,
-- wardrobe, bed, desk in the smaller one. View of the gardens and across the water.

There's only two cupboards and that's why I want floor to ceiling wardrobes, as the top section will be for bedding / towels etc.

I've measured my new lounge within my current lounge, as it's slightly smaller. I'm planning a library area, lounge / TV area, but want a real fire fitted at some point.

Solicitor has emailed, the seller is leaving a bit of bedroom furniture, just hope it's only what was listed to my solicitor as I've my own stuff.

So far on track for the proposed completion date, I just need to up my packing after work each day to make sure the dates align and avoid last minute packing / rushing around.

    Feeling anxiously-excited!
