Thanks DIAI ruled out the F500 as mates have driven them and didn't have anything positive to say aside from they look fun.
If a car doesn't feel / sound solid it puts me right off, even if they are fast. Nothing worse than closing a car door and it sounding like an empty pop can!
The new car should be ready early next week. I insisted every imperfection was sorted out before I collect it and the dealership are probably wishing they did the discount now 🤣
- dealer is being true to their word and phoning me when they say they will.
I've sat through a few videos on YT so I know how to connect my phone to the stereo.
Compared size of current car to new car and the new one is nearly 200mm wider, smaller length and height.
New one will save nearly £300py (2p per mile) in petrol.
I'm swaying towards paying repairs and services as I go along. I don't need dealer stamps as it's not brand new and the surplus each year can go towards the next car.
- mentally I've now got my head round having a newer car and the benefits of it.
The car talk will stop within a week, I'm doing a brain dump just in case you spot something I've not thought of 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Great petrol savings with new car as long as you & /or tombo don’t drive like “boy racers” lol. If you have a good local garage & there is no warranty to dictate where you get servicing done it makes sense to stay local.Cars are so much wider these days. My little i10 tucks in behind other cars. I bought this specifically as it was older style i10 to get it round the back of the house down a narrow alleyway. Not sure many will be as small when I change car but should have sold house & moved by then. What are the condition of the tyres on the new car? Will it need cam belt change soon ? Mine has a chain so no cam belt. Will you be getting breakdown cover ? Might be cheaper to add it to the insurance.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks SkintyI do like opening up and blowing the cobwebs out. Short trips and pottering around isn't good for longevity. Petrol is negligible, even doing the commute from here.
It does seem odd classing these as 'small' and 'city' cars, they seem anything but that! Maybe there will be more 2-seaters around when it's time for an upgrade.
Tyres are fine and it has a cam chain too. I've already got breakdown cover, but get 12 months free from the dealer.
I've lost my log book and have turned the flat over a few times looking for it! Ordering a new one tomorrow as I need the VIN to do it.
I'm going to order a space saver wheel when I get the new car. In the interim I will grab the tyre filler kit from my current one as back up to the one in the new boot.
Two CRAs updated overnight and show the loan search.
Got official confirmation of my regrade, had to query a few things eg wrong job title and it looks like I work PT due to the wording.
- always got one eye on the remortgage and making sure everything is right.
I can pick my own hours while WAH. I may also be WAH for longer than I thought; no one really knows and even the company wide emails are confusing.
- I've claimed a few hours TOIL for next week, will use them when it's new car collection day.

So far today I've got up and flopped on the sofa, had a shower and flopped on the sofa and surfed the internet while flopped on the sofa. Having a flopping good day 😃
There's no sunshine, but it's very muggy and my ice cube tray has been delivered.
It's baby seagull season, the ones out the front are doing test flights and getting told off by their parents. The two that were living on next doors roof are now running round the garden, which makes it awkward for me going outside. They only sleep for about 2 hours from midnight 🙈
I'm contemplating a trip to garden centres, order the replacement V5 and then empty my old car out when we get back.
Unfortunately, I've only one more long weekend left after today and I need to arrange my next batch.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
I emptied out the current car and transferring as much as I can to new car to keep costs down. I'm looking to find a medium sized bag for the boot to keep spares neatly organised in.
- I have to keep the boot fairly clear as I've purchased a 3 door and I can't fling the shopping on the back seats.
V5 has been ordered, should arrive within 5 working days. £25 funded from car pot.

Baby seagulls are huge! We came across one on the pavement this morning while walking to the common. Puppy dog didn’t know what to make of it and gave it a low throaty growl (which she does at anything she’s not sure of) Made her sit while it flapped off down the road. Last time she growled like that was at 2 street bin bags piled on top of one another next to the bin 😆0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

These ones seem quite small still, compared to their parents. They happily potter around the plots and the next building neighbours garden.
- apparently they should fly away next month.
Were the bags scared of PD after their warning 😃
We've been to PetsAH and T for a few bits, no other plans for today.
Sun is fully out again, I'm flopped on the sofa, cat is dreaming and TomBo is playing games.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
The baby seagulls here are bigger than a cat! More like the size of a small dog. Hope you had a relaxing afternoon0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

How wonderful that you can see baby seagulls up close. They fly by here regularly and occasionally come to the garden but i have never seen them with babies. Well done on the car prep. Keep flopping on sofa.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

They're probably proper chicken size and still getting around all the gardens.
Had the windows open. Picked some veg and I dozed on the sofa a few times as I've done a lot of reading.
I've managed to find the advert for my new car, although it's been removed by the dealership. I'm hoping to get it at the start of the week, although mid-week would be more convenient. I just want to get my hands on it 🤭
Had roast lamb and homegrown veg for tea, will have ice cream in a bit.
