Companies are so exploitative. I hope everything sorts itself out. Happy shopping at nursery.

    Thanks SW

The role is slightly tempting as it has more structure to it, although can be chaos at times. I also wouldn't be dropped in it all the time like I am now. A negative to it is no PT / flexi working. Mine, the one I'm covering and this other role all have more negatives than positives and there's no guarantee even if I wait the one I'm covering becomes available or I get it if it does. Lots to think about and I haven't ruled out applying.

Nursery was good, got a load of bamboo canes.
    - I've started building the frame for cabages etc, that just needs the netting to go on.
    - I've added more to the pea and bean section, just need to put some strings up for the peas as the tendrils are delicate compared to beans.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to sort the fruit area out, get them protected before too many start flowering and fruiting and finish the others off I started today.

    We had homemade pasta tonight.

    Thanks Skinty,
Today I'm thinking don't apply for it as it's not where I want to work or even what I want to do.

I've sorted seeds, string and netting ready for when I go out. Loads of little things to do and should keep me occupied for hours. TomBo is doing more on No2.

Later I can transplant more tomato seedlings, sow sweet pea and strawberry seeds to get them going.

The seeds I've sown for SIL are starting to sprout. TomBo has said it will be easier for us to pop to the allotment and plant everything I'm growing for her, rather than hand a load of plants over and say here you go. That's next month's task as it should all be ready and I will book a day off.

I've been tasked with taking a stroll to the allotments I'm on the waiting list for, see how people do things and have a chat with them. TomBo is slowly understanding my reasoning behind having one.

Just waiting for my coffee to settle and my day will start.

Thank goodness for the garden to offset all the work issues.
It will be great if you get an allotment.
    Enjoy your day :)

    I do forget there's a world when I'm outside.

Done about half of what I planned so far, stopped to fill my face with spicy noodles and get the sun cream on 😃

Whatever I do will only be for a few more years, definitely no more than 9. It's trying to pick the right role for that part of my plan.

    Gardening was very productive!
No1 gave No2 their old garden chairs. No2 didn't want them and gave them to us. I then sorted out part of the patio and we've a great seating area 😃

I've donated my blackberry to SIL, TomBo was adamant it wasn't staying in our garden even in a pot. Couldn't blame him as he's dug loads out from No2 and No3 🙈

I sowed more cauli and cabage, put a net up to protect that section. Got two more spud bags on the go. Sowed the marigold seeds around the garden. Then this evening I've sowed another pot of squashes as I'm not confident my first lot are going to sprout.

MIL is having 6 tomato plants and a couple of peas from me. Still leaves about 20 tomato plants to find homes for, if they all transplant ok.

We had breaded fish with homemade oven chips, ice cream for pudding.

Well done on all the swaps for the garden. I agree trust your brain and heart about the new job you know what you are doing and what the company is like. This allotment sounds like it will be great and you will enjoy it. Your food sounds lovely. Im using up old stuff from fridge.  you are part time.

We are eating from the freezer to organise and fill it again.

I'm FT but with my role it would be possible to drop a day.
The one I'm covering there's no reason I wouldn't start / finish earlier, drop a day or do compressed hours.
The other one has no flexibility and regular unpaid O/T; sounds worse each time I mention it!

We did some gardening, had a break to drink coffee and enjoyed the sounds of nature, before carrying on.
    - I'm going to try and get a BBQ from my wages as that would be relaxing evening meals in the garden. We really should take advantage of what we have at our fingertips.

In exciting news, one of my squash seeds has sprouted 😃

    Payday in 3 days.

Having roast pork tonight, ice cream for pudding.
