    Thanks Skinty
I'm hoping I don't get it within 5 years as I've too much going on. It will only really work when I'm part-time.

I've finished for the day. Got my spuds in, earthed up the others, watered everything then took more of the ivy off the wall. Just remembered I was going to put my oregano in the herb garden 🙈

TomBo has done a great job of the hedge, now he just needs to finish weaving it. When we've cleared everything TomBo is going to double check if the neighbour has anything in mind, if not I've a few ideas!
-- his garden is now a sun trap and has loads more space, just need to finish taking all the ivy down and dispose of the green waste; too much for us to compost down.

Top of the neck down to toes have seized up, I will try and have a shower in a bit, if not dig the hot water bottles out.

Got my feet up, pillow behind me and resting 😊

Fell asleep just as the 4th episode of All Creatures started. That and watching the good life growing up set the idea of being self-sufficient.

It's a lovely blue sky again today.
Both of us are covered in bramble scratches, but feel positive about how well the neighbours garden is coming along. I'm tempted to trim and council garden bin what I did yesterday as it will be safer for me to get around. Then I can try to clear the area I stand, before tackling more of the ivy and bramble.

Aside from weeding and watering, there's not much else for me to do in our garden this month. I will be sowing more seeds and having them sit on the window ledges.

The pizza was great, it's cooked and bottom crispt on the hob then the frying pan is put under the grill to crisp the top. Costs about £3 for 6 homemade pizza, bulk of it is buying the cheese.

Both of us are wiped out doing No2 neighbour garden; I've took most of the ivy off the other wall and TomBo has cut trees to bring more sun and light into his garden. No2 came out and we had a good talk, whatever we want to do he will be happy. So the plan is to extend his patio, put a compost bin in, put fruit bushes and plants on the extended patio, with flowers and bulbs the other end and sweet peas growing up the side where the hedge was trimmed.
    - He asked us not to move out the flat 😊

No1 neighbour came out. Wants us to regularly weed his garden, I can do that easily.
We're taking surplus slabs and other thigs as payment, cash was offered but the 'stuff' has more value / use to us.
-- slabs will be used in No2 garden.

No3 neighbour we've already made a start on as we don't want any problems spreading to ours.

We've filled 3 council garden waste bins today and will probably fill them all again after they're emptied. TomBo has borrowed a shredder, hopefully we will have enough mulch to put down where I'm putting the sweet peas.

Meant to pop into my garden before coming back up, so will have to go back down later.

    Might go for a nap!

Had rowies for lunch, not sure what's for tea.

Glad things are going well with the neighbours and the gardening. You should be proud of yourselves. Sounds like you are creating something of beauty with edible plants thrown in. Well done on the savings too - they are growing very healthily.

How wonderful that you are helping all the neighbours. This is wonderful. I am going to try to do some gardening this week after visiting Steve today. You deserve a nap after all that hard work. What's a rowie?

    Thanks SH and SW
Having access to the other gardens means I get pretty flowers and other things to maintain.

Rowies and butteries are a small bread type thing, loads of calories as the real ones are made with lard. Gently toasted with butter put on and are tasty.

I looked through my flower seeds and have picked some great ones out for No2's front garden. If I start them inside they should be ready to go outside when the front is done.

Today we are going to clear a section of No2 garden, if I need a break from that I can pop to No1 garden and ours to do some weeding.

I've numbered the gardens in the way our plots sit. If you're curious and trying to imagine the layout it's:
    -------------- No6
    -------------- No5
    -------------- No4 (us)
    -------------- No3
    -------------- No2
    -------------- No1
    Shared part
    Flat building

(Hopefully that's worked as it should just show in a long rectangle formation, each owning a slice. If it didn't work imagine a loaf of bread, cut into thick slices).

Where I've put the garden numbers is the communal path to access our individual gardens.

I am so proud of everything achieved. So many dreams have come true moving up here, even ones I hadn't planned for 😃

    * kind of worked on my phone, obviously we all have the same size garden, unlike how it shows on my demo.

I wish you were my neighbour i would learn so much from you. You are a natural. I have a lovely garden but although all of last years hyacinths, daffs, muscari are opening, i am plagued by dandelions and plenty of weeds. My garden is quite big, it is a full time job to maintain. I do love it though.

Thanks SW, it's something I really enjoy, same as DIY. View it as a large garden and it's hard to know where to start. Do things in sections so it's bite sized and not overwhelming, lots more gets done that way.
