Thank you RL, SH and SW.
It's worked out well me not being able to use all my holiday last year, in a way. I do miss having the BH's to break up the months, but the long Christmas break is good.
I think we do need some extra days for ourselves at the moment.
Focus group survey done, upto 5 weeks before the money is added and I've completed more of my normal surveys £12.75 in points now.
My aims for this long weekend:
- connect PC lead- test run with my camera- start my art painting
- paint my nails
Hopefully a relaxing one, which will provide big results and enjoyment.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Hi MF,
Just caught up with your diary. Your art studio sounds ideal with those lovely views. Have you ever thought about selling some of your photos, I saw today that you can make a bit of money from some sites for something you enjoy.
Sorry to hear about TomBos job but it is great that you have a plan in place and can continue to save. I hope he is OK and finds his feet with the changes soon.
Glad that you have made progress with your supplier and they gave you some money off but sorry you still have unresolved issuesMortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. Thanks LW2G!
I'm contemplating setting up an account with some companies to sell the photos, but for now I have to focus (excuse the pun) on getting everything set up and actually start using my proper equipment.
- my sibling has done it for years and I've learned from their mistakes 🤭
It does feature as part of my 10 year self-sufficiency long-term plan though, as are my paintings, when I start producing better ones consistently 🤫
- that's why I've been testing the water with people I don't know; friends and family will always say something nice and not be brutally honest.
In a perfect world I would have my photos and paintings hanging up for sale in a few places, the business owner would take a cut and I would have the rest. I've a few places in my 'village' to speak with, but I would need a good printer and frames for the photos, outlays I've not included in 2021. Which is why for now I'm building up my name.
TomBo is fine, he's enjoying not getting up at 4am 😃
I'm off to put the base coat on some canvases!
I must use these long weekends wisely.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
Had a relaxing day so far and I feel more content.
TomBo has been watching cookery programs. Not sure what he's currently following, but he keeps popping into the kitchen. Maybe he will bake bread again! He's definitely more suited to the house-husband role and is more relaxed now.
PC has been set up. Took a bit of messing around as the cable to my monitor wasn't that long, it's on a box and books to reduce the distance. I've a card reader to transfer my camera photos to my harddrive.
- I will be testing it in the morning.
I've prepared lots of canvases, they are currently drying and should be ready to get a painting started this weekend.
- If I do one painting a month, I've enough to last this year, but possibly not enough acrylics.
Surveys are coming in regular throughout the day and I'm now up to £14.25, plus I'm owed £25 from yesterday. Just have to keep trying to do as many as I can 😃I'm not doing any shopping this weekend, so have moved the £25 to savings.
- My 2% account is as full as it can be, it will just accumulate interest. I've now started filling up my next highest account, but only have a few months before that matures. Then I'll target the next highest interest account and keep working my way through them.
Having roast pork tonight 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
Glad you are doing things that make you happy. I bet TomBo is enjoying the break from 4am starts. Shudders. I am a night owl not a lark.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you SH, his shifts were getting to me as there was very early starts one day, lates the next, very early the one after and things could change with no notice. If it was fixed days / shifts it may have worked out better, but we could never plan anything with how it was.
Thanks Skinty, we're having a B0gart weekend for our nighttime films.
The mysterious cooking was 5 minute bread, cooked in a frying pan; like a pita bread, crusty outside but very fluffy inside. I've asked if he will make it again 😃

I like the sound of theming your films. Fun.
It sounds as if the arrangement with your BF suits you both.
Bread sounds interesting.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you DIA, we often do theme weekends. Pick an actor and find the film's they were in.
The arrangement definitely works for me. I just need to convince him doing things at home is a financial input and valued as much as when he does bring money in. If anything, when I'm back in the office tending to the garden will put food on the table, saving money in the process.
I think you would like the bread, it would go with your soups and I imagine any type of 'flour' would work well.
I've booked an eye test (free up here) for when I get paid, that way I can order a cheap pair of glasses as mine are scratched up and years old; my eyesight distance has reduced a lot since I had this pair years ago.
- I'm considering the buy one get one free range, then I could have sunglasses and a normal pair for the same price as a normal pair and tinted pair.
We are popping to the supermarket later for next week's veg. I will keep tackling surveys as my points are increasing nicely.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
How brilliant not only do you paint and decorate houses, you can paint. I cant do either v well. Good luck with spec shopping. I hope you had a good day out. I love Bogart, my uni lecturer was the spitting image of him. I hope you are both relaxing and Tombo can bake some bread and chill a bit.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222
