Thank you SH, but I'm still unsure about when I will get to use them, certainly won't be over the first few weeks, possibly not even next month, which will put me in a difficult position of having to take them over a month.
Thanks Ren, trade paint makes a difference to a home and budget.
SW, you made a good start on it last year, we will talk you through picking other sections and making them easy to maintain.
TomBo has finally agreed I can hang a curtain in the porch (he called it a vestibule!) to keep the drafts from the front door, we are also buying draft excluders.
- there was no GCH or DG in any property I lived in before moving up here, so I did pick up a lot of tips growing up and in each property afterwards.
My DD's come out tomorrow, it's been so long between my last payday and the bills being taken!

Aha! Tombo is outed as posh.... Ha! Only joking.... I hope you are measuring up for that door curtain, I have one here and although the door is double-glazed, it's north facing so the curtain does make a difference. He's definitely posh compared to me Ren!
I'm using my old curtains from the last flat, tried selling them for ages. They're floor to ceiling ones.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Now that's MS Babs
I hope you get plenty more use from them.

Floor to ceiling curtains sound like a great idea. It is nice seeing your home coming togetherIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks Ren and DIA.
I've cut a couple of sections from my old dressing gown and made a leopard print letterbox cover 😂 keeps the draughts out. I will be using a bit of my draught excluder foam tape down the front door frame.
Have got the new draught excluder and curtain rail today. TomBo will be fitting them.
I need to cut one of the curtains in half, if not quarter, to fit the vestibule / porch section. It's the blackout curtain I will be using as it's lined, white lined side will be facing inside the hall.
The curtains don't go with any of the colour schemes I'm doing, also the windows are also only a few inches from the ceiling and near impossible to fit a rail.
- I don't even like how the blinds are fitted 🙈

Draught excluder, sponge foam excluder and curtain all fitted. Managed to squeeze one curtain on, without trimming it, that way when we get a new front door I can attempt to sell the curtains again.
Our front door sausage dog is one of the big cushion padding sections from the old sofa 😂
The porcibule is rather snug now and has only cost £14, including rounded up charity donation.
I do like making use of what we have, buying a couple of things where necessary and seeing it all come together.
Having ribs tonight 🤭

Not sure what the postie will think when he sticks his hand in now to shove letters through and it's soft rather than half a broken draught excluder 😂

Good thinking on the curtains and reselling when you get the new door
