Just a few more presents to wrap, but I've had to stop for a bit.
I took the veg out the garden this morning, sorted into what's good for us and what will be fine for the little piggies; dropping them off tomorrow along with gifts.
Both lampshades arrived today and they are even better than the photos! One of the sellers has listed another of the hall one and it's tempting to buy it then the hall and porch would have one. The condition is a lot better and so more expensive, but we never put the porch light on 🤭
-- Giving it a few days to think about before making a final decision. Although I really do want it, I'm trying to talk myself out of buying.
I'm going to cash in my next lot of survey points as AmZn vouchers and buy the fittings I need to hang them, that way it saves physical money.
As we go into lockdown boxing day, I don't know when we can pick the table up from MIL.
Having haggis for tea 😁
Don't forget to leave snacks and milk out tonight!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

I have to leave the carrot & mince pie high up else the dog will snaffle them.... Santa is having a G&T (hic).... yes, I may be slightly merry.... have a lovely (and restful) well deserved Christmas Bab (& Tombo & cat too!)
(step away from the paintbrushes!)

Thank you Atrixa and Ren.
No paint brushes will be touched for a while. We are currently debating which green for the hall and porch, while not agreeing which side of the dado it should go on 🤫Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Merry Xmas! Hmmm, a dado stand-off.... there is always the 'flip a coin' (or 'best of 3' if you don't get the side you want! Ha!)
You can blame me 'Ren said to try this'!
I asked Mr Google for you and he said that the dark colour goes on the bottom, light on the top, to make the area feel higher/lighter. Or, go edgy and dark top and bottom to create a moody feel....Or dark on the top, light on the bottom if its a really high ceiling to bring it down especially in an old property.... gah, glad I am not decorating (yet)! Erm. I am not sure that's helped....
Off to the grand Xmas meal now, and, I may have to sleep it off this afternoon, have a lovely time."...when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth..."

Thank you Ren!
I want lower half, TomBo upper half, think the compromise will be doing top and bottom and redoing the white woodwork 🤨
We are off delivering gifts soon, but have opened up a few presents. I've said we can open the rest later. My cat has done well and also appears to like her new toy, even though it's bigger than she is 😂
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Thank you LW2G and SW
We've done a trip round the county playing Santa, while dinner was cooking. Had my favourite Christmas film on while eating, had to leave the room to cry and walk back in as if nothing had happened; thankfully neither TomBo or my cat touched my food!
Received a reduced buy it now offer for the 2nd lampshade, from the seller, accepted and paid 🤗 the hall and porch will have matching shades.
Still have to open the remaining presents 😁Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
