  • Thank you LW2G.
I've watched the original Sc00ge, then went for 80's films. Must ask TomBo to get me more old Christmas films! I've got the ones ready for the 25th and 26th, just not any for the next few days.

The utility situation is a farce, I spelt it out to them, with bullet points saying what they needed to do. Unfortunately, this company have a poor reputation at the best of times, reading how  Ofg3m are / have looked into their service / complaints handling and the fines they've received, I don't know how they still have a licence.
I understand a new or small company can make mistakes, but established big ones I do not tolerate! Exhale and relax.

My nails are a sparkly pink, very apt for this time of year. I may need to put another coat on, but will look in daylight.

I'm going to pop out again tomorrow as sibling sent me money for Christmas, will see what else I can pick up for the flat 🤗

Ooh, nail painting! I've not done mine in months, so I might do them on Wednesday for Christmas. I might even put makeup on for Christmas Day, fancy that!
I feel for you with the ongoing utility nightmare, fingers crossed for you it gets sorted relatively soon.
  • Thank you Atrixa, I can't remember when I last did mine. I now have matching toes 😁

Oooh, make up, I may copy you with that idea and put waves in my hair, really push the boat out Christmas day, just thought of what dress I could put on 😊

I wear a tiny bit of make up a couple of times a week but may join you in doing a bit more and maybe get dressed up to. Will be nice to have a reason to get dressed up

  • Thank you LW2G and SH, they do look good; mine are naturally long, considering all the DIY I've done well to only break two!

Make up for me is just mascara and lipstick / gloss, saved for going out or interviews 🤭 it's too much effort and another reason I like having my eyebrows and lashes tinted, as it's even less effort 🙈

Eyebrows tinted and waxed or threaded and eyelashes tinted make a huge difference. Add a tinted lip balm and (I think) I look so improved with minimal daily effort. Your nails sound lovely :)

  • Thank you DIA. In daylight the nails are a hint of pink, with loads of pink sparkles 😁

I do feel a lot better when I've had the mini makeover, it's just £28 is a lot of money, even if it's very convenient to my home. Maybe in 2022 I will revisit having them done regularly, rather than a couple of times a year.
-- looking at home afterwards, they are nowhere near the standard I used to have before moving and cost more than double what I used to pay.

Popped to the charity shop, spent £6.75; got some bits for the kitchen, a set of candle holders, a few presents for people, a big cuddly toy for my cat and some clothes including a fantastic red dress (50p!) for Christmas day 🤗
I will pop in over the next few days to see what other bargains I can get; unfortunately this one is permanently closing on the 24th ☹️
That leaves the expensive one at the other end of the road and the antique shop for my little trips, both of which I struggle to walk to.

I'm cashing in some survey points, that will enable me to buy more things for the flat.

    Having pork chops tonight.
