can anyone tell me how much is 1litre of gas from calor gas?
Thanks0 -
Hi gogostar,
Welcome to mse.
You are getting warm, but this thread is about mains gas and electricity.
Obviously the price of LPG will vary by the amount and type of contract you are prepared to sign.
Lots of advice on the forum here:

We've been looking to switch our dual fuel as our current E.on fixed price tariff was ending on 1st April.
Uswitch, etc were all saying we'd be at least £13pm worse off when switching (we currently pay E.on £98pm fixed direct debit).
Luckily we get a letter the other day, from E.on, saying they had monitored our usage and for the next 12 months we'd only be paying £67pm !!! Hopefully this takes into account the current fuel prices and not what we were paying on their 'fixed' tariff ?0 -
I am on a fixed price with Atlantic at the moment but this will go up considerably at the end of March.
The comparison sites tell me I would be better to change to BG web saver 11 when the price increases
Anybody else considered this provider?0 -

Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 13 Dual Fuel
or:
British Gas Websaver 11 Dual Fuel
The former is a little cheaper for me, and TCB are offering £62 cashback.
What I'm unclear about is whether we need to wait until our 13 month rebate from Atlantic is in the bank before switching? I'm guessing the answer is probably yes.Stompa0 -

Yes - I have just switched to the same tariff!!
Well, applied for it, so it will take a few weeks to actually "switch" to it.
I was also tempted by their OnlineSaver 3 with EnergySmart which includes a "free" EnergySmart gadget so you can check how much electricity you are using live and "could save £150". However - I do my own saving eg not leaving lights on when I'm not in the room, only using things I need etc so I very much doubt the true savings.
And although it is described as "free" I did my own calculations on both of these plans and my existing Scottish Power plan with my exact usage over the past year and this would actually cost me £51 extra per year - so that extra is paying for the "free" energy usage meter!
I also did an online comparison with SimplySwitch (from the latest MSE email) but the rates given are actually higher than going direct to British Gas website!! Avoid it. :eek:0 -
I have now set in motion my switch to British Gas through Quidco as that, at least gets me a £22 rebate. The problem might be that the offer from British Gas for web saver 11 may expire as it is a limited offer. I might have hung about for the 13 month rebate from Atlantic but mine is not due until December so by that time the amount I would lose on their new Atlantic rate makes it better to change now. I also received an OWL energy meter purchased through this site for about £200

Hi, does anyone know if its possible to change tariffs with the same supplier using a price comparison site , thereby claiming the cashback.0

Our capped tarrif with Eon for duel fuel is coming to an end. Decided to use some of the sites listed by Money Saving Expert to find a better new deal than Eon is offering.
Plugged in all the figures, using the monthly payments rather than KW as I don't know the latter.
£48/month Gas, £63/month Electric. x 12.
According to both me and Simply Switch, that equals £1332/year.
According to Energyhelp.com it equals £1728/year...
Erm, what now? Glad I didn't just go with energyhelp without double checking! Am I missing something obvious about these calculations? Should I be doing something differently?
And given that our capped rate comes to an end on 1st April, am I doomed to spending the first month still paying over the odds with Eon even once I've asked to switch?0
