  • Dogz / anyone else...

I'm in exactly the same position, just switching from British Gas Websaver5 to British Gas Websaver11 as Websaver5 finishes on Monday, just checked and there are no charges for changing after 30th June last year. Not sure of the difference in rates but 2 days won't make much difference.....I'm staying with British Gas just to get the £200 worth of free cavity wall insulation, you still have to be with them when its actually installed which won't be until May as they are so busy, so although I could save about £50 by changing supplier I still save overall with the free insulation (oh and Nectar points too).

Does anybody know if I can still get cashback by changing plan with the same supplier (British Gas) by going through Simplyswitch, Monetsupermarket etc or do they only pay for switching supplier?

    Thanks

    Ed

You'll only be able to get cashback if you switch supplier.
  • This is the best deal I've had today:

Seems it's best for me to stick with EDF. :)

Hi, Does anyone know of any utility companies that help people with a disability (I have MS & get DLA) who are housebound and need heating on all day- Oh and are under 60 years old.
I have rang EON(who we are with, but contract ends 1st april) & they only help the over 60s ( who are not disabled :( go figure :?

    Any help greatly appreciated,
    lou

just looked at a comparison site and this is what i've found...

Dual - Scottish Power online energy saver 13 = 17% saving
    Gas - BG Websaver 11 = 2% saving
    Elec - NPower go fix 5 = 50% saving...

So do I stick with BG for Dual Fuel and go with websaver 11 or switch it up with a different company for each product... any help??

Erm, whichever's cheapest surely?! You won't get cashback for switching tariffs with the same company, i.e. you need to move one or both away from BG for any cashback.

Just done our switch ... none of the comparison sites could find us a saving; had to switch just to keep the estimated cost increase down to a bit over £200 ..! :(
