GTG - Quidco offer £55 for dual fuel with E.On - that's what I will be doing. Was confused about their 2 'version 5' tarriffs that seem the same, but I have spoken to E.On a few moments ago and they say that the 'Standing Charge' version 5 online is more for those who use less electric/gas, whereas the Standard tariff is for those who think they are using more appliances... hope that helps!MFW #185

I've just changed to E-on for both fuels and although it states £55 on Quidco it actually tracked at £70, and I'll save about £450 per year AND get Tesco clubcard vouchers to swap for deals - RESULT !!:j :j :j :T :T :j0

I have just checked to the 2 recommended sites for changing supplier and got quite different results!
Energyhelpline shows a saving of £121 for dualfuel with E-on
MoneySavingExpert shows a saving of £78 for dualfuel with E-on
Quite a difference! Anyone any ideas why?0 -
I have also switched to E.On Dual Fuel V5 from EDF as they seemed the best deal - Quidco shows £70 tracked so fingers crossed, but I imagine it will switch to £55 before payment... Then here's to seeing those all important yearly savings!MFW #185

Hi EagerLearner,
Thank you for your reply to my question above, much appreciated.
One more question please.
How long is E.on's contract and did you find that most energy providers are only doing twelve months ones as opposed to the 28 days we have become acustomed too ?

I switched to E-on about a week ago and when I clicked through from Quidco, Quidco stated £70. Mine's tracked at £70, I hope it goes through at that. (I'm still new to this and haven't had any payments from quidco yet) Just had a look on Quidco and it is now stating £550 -
Ive always had gas and electricity from British Gas paid quarterly.
3 weeks ago I used https://www.energyhelpline.com to switch to Atlantic Electric and Gas but having just read Martins article he said not to switch to Atlantic as they are putting their prices up at the end of March.
My question is, am I now contracted to stay with Atlantic for a set duration etc or can I just switch again right now?
If I stay with Atlantic is their price hike in April likely to be the same as British Gas's prices or worse more?
Cheers

Sorry if this has already been asked.... but what is to stop you from using cashback sites to switch and then as soon as you are paid switch again to another using a cashback site with another provider and hence keep getting money for switching all the time then move onto another cashback site???
Surely you will then actually be making more money than you are spending, well in my case living on my own I would....0 -

All contracts will have a minimum term, it was always 28 days since deregulation but I read on MSE that companies were changing to yearly contracts. You really need to look at your contract or on the web site, failling that give them a ring.If I stay with Atlantic is their price hike in April likely to be the same as British Gas's prices or worse more?
