Hi everyone!
I got interviewed by ITV Calender this morning, as they are doing a piece on Excel and VCS.
I may have mentioned that Simon Renshaw Smith is a multi-millionaire and ex clamping king and that he's been making a LOT of money from people's misery!
If I had managed to get to you guys before the interview (it was a bit out of the blue), what would you have suggested that I made sure got mentioned wrt to Excel/VCS?
I told the interviewer that MSE had helped me prepare the court case!
Thanks as always4 -

All publicity is bad publicity for VCS/Excel in our long experience, and I heard from another poster yesterday that David Walsh of the local Sheffield paper is about to do another piece despite (apparently) getting a 'hostile reception' let's say, when he approached the infamous ex-clampers for their comments.
If and when you see either the programme or the newspaper article come out, please alert is in the Parking in the News/Media thread by Half_way.
We wouldn't want to miss your interview!

Was a bit miffed that they didn't use the footage where I was plugging MSE, where I said that a £185 invoice was sent for an alleged £1 overstay, and where I was properly ranting about SRS lol!!
Interviewers just use what they want to suit their item. So it's a bit of a casino what they use, regardless of whatever intelligent things you've said. I've learnt that with the local papers as well!! But at least it raised the profile of challenging rogue companies in court. Hopefully when Sir Greg Knight's bill goes through, there will be less need for it. But until then, maybe it will encourage some folk to be a bit braver and to see those scammers in court. Wish I'd have mentioned that people literally have nothing to lose, because the invoice amount would be the same anyway!2 -

Sorry if you've already done this but you'd be a great person to answer the Inquiry's questions.

I'm glad you've come back to this thread because I also wanted to ask if I could quote your case and the judgment when helping other posters. It would be really useful to know the case number, *your name* v VCS, the date of the hearing, the judge's name, and the location of the court.
I'm particularly interest in the judge's comments that VCS shouldn't have shared your data with Excel. We see this so often with this pair of companies, and one or two others as well.
Although your case isn't persuasive, it would help other victims to show what at least one other judge thinks about this data breach.
