:santa2: Good to see you back denise. I hope you had a really great time.:)
I've been out for a good, brisk walk today, managing to dodge the showers (OK more than showers, deluges when they come:(). So I've got in some Body Magic. I bought the turkey while I was out so that's one more thing ticked off my list.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena (F), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, 2 boiled eggs (P)
L: LO chickenless casserole (F,S) with beetroot (S)plaice (P), SW chips (F). asparagus, broccoli, tomatoes, courgettes
Syns: None planned
I'm going to try a recipe I've seen with shallots and mushroom stuffing for the plaice although I plan to use leeks instead of onions.

Thanks Maman. Had a good holiday and met some lovely people. Just wish the food had been good! Most of it was just lukewarm so not particularly nice. Far too much alcohol of course as it was all inclusive.
Looking forward to getting back on plan and losing the weight I've put on.
Good to hear that there are plenty of veg offers out there at the moment. Have put plenty of stews, curries & tangines on the menu plan for the rest of the month so will be able to make use of a lot of it.
The recipe looks good. Let us know how it works out.

The fish was OK. DH enjoyed it. I still can't taste properly because of my cold.:( I won't buy plaice again but I wanted to use it up. I prefer 'meatier' fish like cod, haddock and salmon.
I'm thinking when to buy the fresh food for Christmas. I normally shop on a Friday for the week but I'm a bit busy tomorrow. I'm thinking I could go on Monday and just buy enough beforehand to see us through the weekend. :undecided What's anyone else doing?0 -

I'm in the enviable position of not having to worry about buying fresh stuff! Going to DD1s for Christmas. I'm cooking the gammon and will take with me on the day. She's asked me tonight if I could make some braised red cabbage as she reckons she can't get it to taste as nice as mine, even though she uses the recipe I gave her!

Shopping list sorted and decided where I'm going to buy what - will be visiting Lidl, Tesco & Iceland. Will be buying practically everything I need until the end of the year apart from some eggs which I'll buy just after Christmas, probably the Saturday.
Today's on plan day:
B - Kellogg's Simply Granola/milk - HEA/HEB
L - jacket potato, beans F, salad - lettuce, cucumber, spring onions, tomatoes, various pickles S
D - seabass P; SW chips; F; green veg (not sure what yet!) S
HEA 1/2 - milk
HEB - cereal
Syns - none planned
Need to adjust my Syns for a 6 day week so just 90 this week until Thursday, even though I won't be weighing officially but will weigh at home to hopefully have lost some of the big gain! I think quite a bit of it was water retention as my ankles and legs were definitely swollen and are looking better this morning.

You're very organised denise. Well done for getting straight back on it.:T
The water retention was probably because of the long haul flight so good to see that settling down. It's a shame that the AI food wasn't anything special. It's so annoying to waste syns on things you wouldn't normally choose at home.
It's my DD1's birthday today. She's coming round at teatime (cake involved) but I don't think she wants to stay for dinner so that'll help me as she'd probably want a Chinese. If she does leave early enough (sounds like I want to get rid of her:o) then I might shop this evening or otherwise tomorrow.
That brings me to another problem. DH decided that as we'd enjoyed beans for breakfast earlier in the week then we'd have them again today (he's cooking so I'm not arguing;)). I'd planned a sausage casserole for dinner so it could be bean overload.:D
So I won't post my menu yet as it's subject to change. Will report back later.:xmassmile0 -
I didn't even try and count syns when I was away! There would have been far too many consumed, LOL! Everything was cooked in butter, apart from the rice.
The only decent food we had was when we went on a trip and when we ate out at the beach shacks because everything was freshly cooked rather than being kept warm as it was at the hotel. We've decided we're not going back to Goa again - 5 times is enough - even if it has been over a long period. I don't really want to do long haul again if I'm honest so will be looking at Europe in future I think.
We often have bean overload Maman! DH loves them, although I'm not so keen on baked beans although I do enjoy other beans and pulses.
Enjoy the cake this afternoon - birthdays only come once a year and you can easily pull the syns back with no syn days during the week.
