checking in with a 1lb loss. Total weight loss since Jan 2019 is just 1st 9.5 lbs.
I SO want to get my 2 stone award but I never seem to get there.:(
Penny,
1st 9.5 lbs is more than you would have lost if you wasn't going!

Of course you do. It's so frustrating when we can't lose as fast as we like. Some people just lose slowly (I'm sure Denise says she got to target with regular small losses). Others lose to a regular pattern. I was up and down like a yo-yo. Usually I knew why but sometimes I was really on plan and didn't lose.Do you know why? Would you have time to post menus so we can make suggestions?
Don't beat yourself up though because you're a lot lighter than you were at the beginning of the year. How much more do you want to lose?0 -
This week is Plus 2.5 LB
I'm not surprised - stress and medical related issues ....
Your food looks nice Bubb!0 -
Maman is right. I've always been a slow loser - usually 0.5lb a week with the occasional lb and a couple of 1.5lb. Once at target I think it's probably been easier for me than a lot of people as my body was used to not losing much each week, however I do have to make sure I use all my Syns and sometimes more in order to stay within target range.
The couple of days this week is going to be using stuff up so probably not enough Speed but will do my best. The veg I had left made up 3 good sized bags of ratatouille, about 500g each so will probably end up having it 2 days running when I defrost them, LOL!
Today's plan:
B - sausage sandwich - HEB; 2 for sausages; 2 for spread
L - starfry chicken - starry is half a pack I froze last time we had stirfry; chicken is some I frozen from a roast dinner so a Free meal both SW wise and financially!
D - egg, chips, beans; stuffed apple 6 syns
HEA - milk
HEB - bread

Oh hell, boss trying to book lunch for next week. I can't do it as I am already eating out every night, not going to be a complete pig! Only one possibility the following week, but will mean I put my hairdresser back for a couple of hours, she comes to me so hopefully that will work.
Forgive me SW, I will be synning despite my very best effortsA smile costs little but creates much0 -
Not sure how today's going to work out. There will be nibbles at the gin tasting tonight but my plan is to eat beforehand so that I'm not ravenous. We went to a similar event last year and they were really nice canapes but tiny so just a small amount of rye bread or oatcakes with a fairly SW friendly topping like smoked salmon or prosciutto. I'm not going to worry about it though. I'll just enjoy myself and get back on plan tomorrow for a few days (next Christmas event is Thursday).:xmastree:
Today's menu is close to being SP. I prepped the cottage pie yesterday and the topping is made up of a small amount of potato and a lot of swede, carrot and BNS.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks
L: ham (P), bubble & squeak (mostly S) and pickles (S)cottage pie (P, S and limited F), broccoli, cauli, HEA2 Parmesan on topping
Syns: HP sauce 1 plus gin and canapes0 -

Don't worry. It happens.
There are a number of ways of looking at how to cope with holidays and SW. Some stay on plan as much as possible by making specific requests in restaurants. Others just forget about SW for the duration and then get back on plan ASAP. Personally I try to do what Denise does and be good when I can. Over time I find that mostly I prefer SW friendly choices with a few exceptions. I'm rarely tempted by things with bread, batter or pastry and don't fancy most puddings. What I do enjoy is a cheeseboard and chips (not fries) then there's the wine syns.:o
When I was getting to target, my consultant was astounded that I lost 5.5lbs between Christmas and New Year. I found that it was so easy to stay on plan at home with roast dinners, cold meats and pickles. It's the lead up to Christmas with the nibbly parties full of beige food that was difficult.0 -
Hi all. Can I join in please? Joined SW last Saturday-have previously been so starting again. Am loving the meal suggestions and ideas floating around this page so would love to get more inspiration from you all0
