Hope you enjoyed your picky tea bubbs .:)
We've not long been back. We played really badly but somehow we won! :j Looking forward to my dinner.
Tomorrow I'm going to make my pigs in blankets. I'm going to use Aldi skinny sausages, twisted in two so each 'pig' will be a quarter of a syn.Mine are for Christmas Dinner but they'd make a good nibble for a party.

Looks as though it's going to be a dry and windy day today so am getting some washing out on the line as soon as the first load is done. Will do another load after and get that out too.
Today's plan:
B - 2 sausages; egg; mushrooms; tomatoes; beans - P;S;F; 2
L - Cheese on toast; HEA/HEB; I always add mustard powder and Worcester sauce and mix with an egg to make it like a paste so it's easy to spread
D - pork chops; roasted potatoes; carrots; onions; green veg; not sure what yet but still have a good selection in the freezer! P; F; S
HEA - milk/cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; may have a couple of glasses of wine 10
Have a good day everyone.

It's gloriously sunny here today too denise.
I'm going to portion up the savoury mince shortly and perhaps I'll persuade DH to chop onions for me as I need to make more braised red cabbage. If I chop onions I always end up with streaming eyes while it doesn't seem to affect him so much.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena (F), 2 fried eggs (P) HEB toast, HEA milk
L: ham (P), pickles (S), bubble & squeak (S,F)HB steak (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), swede & carrot mash, cauli, broccoli, cabbage, kale (S)
Syns: HP sauce 1, weekend wine:D
This isn't going to be a straightforward week but I expect that'll be true of all this month. Tomorrow I'm going to a festive gin tasting (Gin and Jingle Bells) with nibbles and then Thursday a Christmas meal.:)0 -
Funnily enough I've got a portion of red cabbage out of the freezer to have with dinner tonight. Still need to decide what veg to do from the freezer.
Checked the fridge this morning to see what veg was left and there was an aubergine, a courgette & some celery, none of which are needed for meals before we go away so I've chopped them up along with a large onion and a small piece of pepper which was in the fridge and can do without, added a couple of tins of tomatoes and cooked up a big batch of ratatouille which I'll portion up later once it's cooled down a bit.
I think the only things which might get binned is a bit of lettuce and possibly a couple of spring onions so not done too badly with food this waste.
There's a small piece of cheese (about 100g) which if it doesn't get used by DH I'll grate and freeze on Tuesday evening. There's also half pot of cottage cheese which will also be binned if it doesn't get used.
I'm really pleased that I won't be throwing much away at all.
Enjoy your gin and jingles. We were going to go to one last year in a small micro brewery but when we asked the cab company what the fare would be from there to home it was £27:eek:. Couldn't justify that for less than 5 miles!

I'd just chop up the spring onion and add it to the ratatouille Denise or chop and open freeze then you can add it to a casserole sometime. I'm so pleased that I chopped up the carrots and mushrooms before I went away as it was really easy making the savoury mince.
We're lucky living in a city as we can use public transport to get about.:)0 -

Problem is I'm going to need some but don't know how many so didn't want to add them to the ratatouille but definitely could chop and open freeze after lunch on Tuesday which is the last time I need them.
Our buses stop running at 5.30pm from the nearest town so can't go out in the evening unless we take the car - this is the main reason we don't eat out unless we're away in the motorhome or in town and have timed it right to have lunch out! Still it's lovely and quiet most of the time particularly in winter when the tourists have all gone home!

You're maintaining well tweets . Hope you don't need to nibble later, although fingernails should be syn free!
:footie:
Our local buses are very infrequent at night too but as we live close to the University we can catch those instead. It seems the bus company are happy for students to go out at night but not anyone else.0 -
