I'm not as well practised as you bubbs but the KFC was a big success. DH asked if I'd made it, then if it was meat or fish and then said it was scrumptious! :D

I used chicken breast cut into large goujons. Do you cut up the chicken thighs? Mine weren't as golden brown as yours, maybe I should have sprayed more?

I'm being good tonight. No wine syns. :( it might help offset my meal out tomorrow. :)
I don't use breast as find it too dry, no i just use thighs as they are, i spray tray, then spray chicken after about 15 mins, turn over then spray again
joedenise and beanielou I hate driving in the dark too but I've done a lot of it today.
Kids decided they wanted to go to McDonalds so I had the grilled chicken and bacon salad and 4 chicken nuggets. Feeling really proud of myself as before I would have had a full meal plus nuggets plus a muffin and probably an extra burger. I did have a small mcflurry as I had loads of syns left and didn't feel deprived, then had a lovely bowl of fruit when I got home while the kids ate their sweets. I really do feel like I can stick to this even when I am not at home. Will post photos in a bit as I haven't done my collage thing.
I want to try that chicken that bubbs keeps posting...where's the recipe?

maman hope your back is less painful soon-it makes it so difficult to do things

GTQ a small loss is better than a small gain
I use instant mash, its syned now but wasn't when i first started doing t, paprika . mustard powder and garlic granules

Checking in with another maintain! i am absolutely hopeless lately.

Total weight loss since New Year 2019 is 1st 9.5 lbs.

I just cannot get back into it and just breathe a sigh of relief when I haven’t gained.

Thanks bubbs . I'm assuming you use a whole thigh for the KFC. Are they boneless?:)

Sorry to hear about the gain tie :( But what's good is that you post regularly and you won't let yourself lose touch. Keep the faith, you'll get there. :)

It's good to reflect on how much you've lost penny . Do you know why you've hit this plateau? Have you got time to post menus? Keep a food diary? :)

We ate out at lunch time today. I made good choices so not too many syns. I reckon some oil and some bread so about 6 syns.

    Today's EE plan :
B: NAS grapefruit, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: bruschetta (S), salmon (P), veg(S) new potatoes (F)
    D: SW snacks e.g.ham, cottage cheese (P)
Syns: oil, bread 6? Weekend wine :D
  • I've been looking for a forum group that is active and completely forgot that MSE had a Slimming World Thread, really happy I've found this one.

I started my Slimming World journey on Monday 16th September 2019, my starting weigh was 14st 4lbs, it took me a few weeks to get my head round the programme, but I have consistently lost weight averaging out at around 1.5lb per week. My short term goal is to be 12st 4lb by Christmas losing 2 stone in 12 weeks, my overall goal is to get down to 143lbs (10st 3lb) there is a story behind this magical number I will go into at a later date.

Last Monday, on the Slimming World Scales, I lost 1.5lb taking me down to 13st 2lb.

Looking forward to supporting everyone on this thread and getting involved in the discussions and interactions.
