Bubbs shame you have to have another op :( although I know you were anticipating it. I bet you'll just be glad to get it over and done with won't you?

GTQ I've got a small stash of pressies for Christmas piling up now, so may begin wrapping mine as I go along to save time, as I hate spending a whole Saturday afternoon/evening doing it the week before Christmas day. I also have cards stashed away somewhere, so ought to dig those out. Good way to keep busy and not be tempted :D
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thanks Sary for that about the bacon. Is it a particular one or any of the Aldi bacon as I've not tried theirs before? Unfortunately my butchers buys in the bacon rather than cutting it himself and it's as bad as Mr T's bacon!

I'm visiting family over the weekend so need to write out cards. Pressies are now wrapped - I did those yesterday afternoon so I didn't end up doing it at the last minute.

With my high syn dinner tonight I'm worrying a bit about putting on this week as eating out at a friend's for lunch on Saturday, my sister's for the evening and then staying over before visiting DD2 Sunday morning and staying for lunch, although that shouldn't be too bad as she knows I do SW and has done so herself in the past. I'm thinking it's likely she'll do a roast using Frylight.

No idea what we're having for dinner Sunday evening but think I'm going to have to find something syn free, to balance up the Syns of the weekend!

Change of plan for dinner tonight. Forgot I'd got aubergines and courgettes in the fridge so did a Meditterean layered bake - wish I hadn't bothered! The tomato sauce was lovely and the topping was too but the veg in the middle just wasn't cooked enough even though they'd been fried off in Frylight before going into the dish and then an hour in the oven. So basically just had some tomato sauce, a bit of courgette which was cooked and the cheese topping.

At least it means less syns for tonight as it's just my HEA2 and 4 syns for cheese sauce!. Am also having a couple of rum & diet ginger beers so ending on 9 syns today.

Of course it means that tomorrow's dinner will be the very high syn duck & pancakes for 29 syns! Will definitely need to keep the rest of the day syn free.

Strangely enough I made boulangere potatoes tonight Denise and they didn't cook through properly either.:(

As well as the potatoes, onions and stock I added carrots, courgettes, tomatoes and mushrooms. I parboiled the potatoes and carrots but still could have done with longer in the oven. It tasted OK and we had it with a couple of sausages and a side of kale mixed with cabbage. So plenty of Speed and some left for tomorrow. :)

I made the pork meatballs which were nice but could have done with some extra seasoning so will add more next time. Kids ate it all so happy with that.
Managed to find my food processor but it has a part missing so have bid on one on ebay. It's the spindle bit that makes it go round so it's useless without it.
My food today (breakfast was shreddies with milk)
