I've got some bacon to use up today so I plan to cook it at lunchtime, eat some and then add some bits to tonight's dinner.

I'm off to the dentist on the other side of the city later so plan to nip into Tesco (wine stock pots, tagliatelle) and B&M while I'm over there. I find these cheap shops often sell large jars of pickles very reasonably.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, half banana (F), HEB porage with HEA1 milk
L: bacon, egg (P) with mushrooms, tomatoes and whatever else (S)
D: SW Bolognese (P,S) with tagliatelle (F) and HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns: 0

We've given up with bacon, have got really fed up with the horrible white stuff that comes from it - think it's salt water, get it even with so called dry cured bacon. If anyone has found a supermarket bacon which this doesn't happen with I'd be interested as I miss having bacon with my fry ups!

    Today's plan:

    B - boiled eggs (P) and soldiers (HEB + 2 for spread)
L - LO shepherds pie (P;S;F), frozen veg of some sort (S)
D - mixed bean goulash (P;S;F) with rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - spread 2 - this takes me over Syns for the week but I can live with being a couple of syns over for the week as I'm almost at bottom end!

I'm allergic to pork, so use turkey rashers, 4 mins (like 'em crispy!) in microwave, yum!!!!!!!!!

I went to bed early last night as I wasn't feeling too good so here is yesterday's food

    IMG-20191113-094736-528.jpg

My son woke up and was sick this morning so there's obviously a bug going round. He's sat watching TV with a bowl next to him, poor boy.

Had my weigh in this morning and...

  • Well done TMD, hope you are pleased with your progress. Was this a really short second week? Seems to have come round really quickly. Hope your son gets over his bug soon and you manage to avoid catching it ;).

Well done TMD on your great loss and SOTW too.

GTQ thanks for that but can't stand turkey! Doesn't sound right getting rashers from a turkey anyway, LOL!

Oh dear bubbs. Do hope you don't have to have it done before Christmas, unless of course that's what you want. I'm trying to get hold of the hospital to let them know my holiday dates as to be quite honest I really don't want my op this side of Christmas as it's too close to my holiday and I'd like to be well enough to enjoy it rather than recovering from an op.

I'm waiting for a call back but goodness knows when that will be.
