Oh dear, what is it about men cooking naughty things today!
Parkin and sausage rolls, whatever next! :rotfl:
My DH was complaining that his suit was tight this morning when he got dressed for Remembrance Sunday. I reminded him about this time last year when he was having SW friendly lunches (he always has breakfast and dinner with me) to fit into his dinner suit. He agreed and then came home at lunch time and ate 2 ham rolls, a Belgian bun and then I caught him having stollen bites!0 -

Funny! My OH doesn’t do much cooking but is very happy to eat what I cook and despite eating out quite a bit for work, has lost at least 3 stone so far, like me since mid January. He has now gotten to the stage that his old shirts look baggy on him, same with smart jackets, and even 2 dinner suits have made it onto the charity pile. Had to order him some smaller shirts in an interim size for his next trip away! We are both still in the ‘overweight’ BMI category, so will keep plodding on :rotfl:.
Had the Easy Chicken Curry from the 50 Golden Greats book. It really is easy to make and very tasty. Have put the remainder of the defrosted chicken in a tikka marinade, will cook it off tomorrow. That will be 1 bag of chicken down, 11 bags to go.

Very chilly here but sunny and dry so have been putting in my winter pansies and violas outside, after dogwalk. Quick lunch of some pumpkin soup and piece of quiche, then top up car with exhaust fluid and check tyre pressures. Only to get rid of all the warning lights that come on to remind you of everything .
Something with chicken breasts for dinner, possibly the easy curry. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Fantastic loss Bubbs. I hope you're feeling better today and you were still able to enjoy the theatre.
PIB belated birthday greeting. I hope you had a lovely day.
Pennylane well done on your loss, and I hope things improve for you.
Great news Denise about your results.
I can very much relate about a wavering mojo. Mine keeps tuning in and out. Our w/end away last week saw a 2.5lb gain, and have managed to get that down by -1lb. I am away again next weekend with my best friend, so want to have a low syn week in the run up to it.
Went shopping last night and bought plenty of meat and veg for the freezer. They have the kilo trays of rump steak in Lidl again at the moment - haven't seen those for months, so bought 2 trays. I then found 2 half salmon at an amazing 90p each! :money: I don't really like salmon, but will cut into portions for DS4 who loves fish. I also bought the christmas turkey, which I thought were good value at £15.99 for one 6.5kg bird. Fitted nicely into a drawer in the freezer, along with a pack of maple cured lean streaky bacon for the hm pigs in blankets before the prices sky rocket or there aren't any in stock.
TMD your meals always look so colourful and appetising
So meal plan today:
B - banana & slice of toast HEB (2 LF spread)
L - bacon sandwich - 5.5
D - steak, SW chips, carrots, cauliflower & broccoli - allow 2 for dressing
Then I blew it with a cinnamon bun that OH brought me with a cup of tea this afternoonI could have resisted :rotfl: and pigs might fly
On a positive note I bought a new sports bra & leggings
Thanks, yes i was fine for Kinky Boots:D:D what a brilliant show:T:T

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Can't believe how quickly this thread moves. I'll try my best to keep up :rotfl:
Congratulations to the losers and happy birthday to everyone with birthdays recently and hugs to everyone who is struggling.
I'll definitely try and remember to post my meals etc, as I said, being held accountable is what keeps me on track.
Last night I had flat iron steak, HM sweet potato fries, side salad dressed with balsamic vinegar and a bit of coleslaw that needed using up (which I synned). Twas delicious. I also managed to go the gym yesterday morning.
Meal Plan for today is:
B- Overnight oats with strawberries 0.5 syns (coconut greek style muller)
L- Chicken + veggie stir fry, noodles 2 syns (hosin sauce 1tbsp)
D- I've got out some pork strips to defrost- not quite sure what I'll turn it into yet!
I've also got some grapes for snacking at work if I get peckish.
Then I have booked onto HIIT class tonight at the gym-also aiming for 10k steps today!
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Eyebright what do you mean by "pork strips"? Are these strips of lean pork? If they are then they will be syn free, however if you mean pork belly strips they are very high syn at 9.5 syns per 100g! I have to say 100g of pork belly isn't very much at all, probably less than one full slice if they are anything like the ones I got from my butchers!
I've got my COPD course again this morning which means I need a quick lunch but DH has been making noises about eating out as we also need to do some shopping to save going out again tomorrow and the course is fairly close to town.
At the moment the plan is but lunch may change!
B - porridge; grapes - HEB; F (I've run out of Speed fruit except for a melon I bought which still isn't ripe enough to bother cutting up!)
L - veggie omelette and salad - mushroom, pepper, spring onion S; eggs P; lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, pepper, pickles S dressed with balsamic
D - chilli & rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - none:D

Denise
Denise, it's strips of lean pork, like you would use in a stir-fry etc... So yes that's syn free, I just have to decide what to do with it, as I'm having stir fry for lunch so not really keen to do the same again for dinner!
I'm thinking either making a jambalaya/one pot rice dish with it, as rice, stock and passata + veggies would keep the dish syn free. I'm not feeling very inspired for some reason
I'm going to write a meal plan and online food shop tonight to hopefully be delivered tomorrow. That should help keep me on track.
TMDI hope your son's tribunal goes in his favour tomorrow, must be such a worry to have over your head.0 -
Managed to persuade DH to go shopping before the course so avoided the eating out! Lunch was really nice but I forgot to put any pickles on my plate so not quite as much Speed as there should of been, but I did have some celery as well which I'd forgotten about!

Hope all is well TMD. Don't worry if you're not showing much of a loss as yet. Sometimes weightloss doesn't fall into neat weekly amounts but if you stick to plan you'll get the results eventually. Keep the faith!:)
Glad you avoided an unnecessary lunch out denise. Good for SW but good for mse too.:money:
Good idea to have a plan eyebright. I prefer to do that once a week then it takes all the 'what shall I have?' dithering away. It's something I've always done even before SW. When I worked crazy hours it saved me so much time being organised and it saves waste too. We haven't had jambalaya in ages. DH loves it, I need to put it on the menu although I generally make mine with chicken.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L: cold chicken (P). fried potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)chicken (P) stir fry (S) with noodles (F)
Syns: HP sauce 1, honey in sauce 2.50
