Toomuchdebt~~Do you never drink tea or coffee with milk in?
I would be lost without my baby tea or coffee.

Only if it's a latte or cappucino really. But I made a milky coffee and added skinny syrup and it's quite nice. I never ever add milk to tea yuck LOL

I think I forgot to check in here last week but I gained a pound and today I weighed in and gained ANOTHER pound. It’s my own fault for choosing stupid stuff when I have been really stressed.

I have tried SW several times and just when I am approaching a 2 stone loss I seem to sabotage it. I then get fed up and stop going to group. I did pay for a 12 week countdown last week so I am determined not to do that again but I am really struggling.

Pennylane-if you start to sabotage it every time you get close to 2 stone, try fooling your brain. Tell yourself you're starting again today and this is day 1...I know it sounds stupid but it might just work?

Pennylane would you be able to post more often to help keep you on track? I find posting my plans each day really helps me to stick to it much more than when I don't post - which is usually only when I'm on holidays!

TMD it certainly isn't a stupid idea to tell yourself it's Day 1 again! In fact consultants are always saying "draw a line and start again". Also your consultant won't tell you off - they're there to help you when you have problems or to tell you when you are doing something wrong - definitely not for telling anyone off!

Sleazy do you know why you put the weight back on this week? Was it just a case of going off plan or drinking too much etc or was it just a random thing and you've no idea why it happened? If the latter perhaps it would help to post your menus like lots of us do. Anyway good luck for this week.

Didn't do too badly for Syns last night when I ate out, although I wasn't able to have what I'd planned - they'd run out of vegetable mash:eek:. Had really been looking forward to that so substituted with a salad - but certainly not a good salad - just a few lettuce leaves, a thick slice of cucumber quartered and a couple of small wedges of tomato! and no dressing available other than full fat mayo!

We certainly won't be returning to that pub/restaurant - the food really wasn't particularly good and the service was really slow. Table was booked for 8 and we didn't get our starters until after 9 and DH's fish was burnt so he sent that back and someone else had a mixed grill and the steak had only been cooked on one side:eek: the other side was still raw! It went back to the kitchen and the next time it came out the plate was covered in blood where it hadn't been rested so that went back too. Third time the steak still wasn't cooked how it had been asked for so the guy just gave up and left it! They obviously can't cook a decent steak.

    Today's plan:

    B - sausages (2), egg (P); beans (F); tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
L - 25g cured meats (2); lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper (S) in WW wrap (HEB). Will also have some pickled onions, beetroot & cornichons (S)
D - Roast chicken dinner - chicken (P); potatoes (F); roasted onions, peppers, courgettes (S); mashed swede; cabbage; green beans (S)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WW wrap
    Syns - 2 butcher's low fat sausages; 25g cured Spanish meats 2

Will tot up my syns so far this week and work out how many syns I have left until Wednesday so I can see how much damage limitation I need to do!

Mine actually wasn't bad but it's very disappointing when there are 15 people ordering and 2 of them had inedible meals bought to the table! Nearly everyone had planned to have a desert but in the end everyone decided enough was enough - it was 10.30pm by the time they asked if we wanted any! By DD1s partner is a chef and had made a cake which he took to the restaurant and they were happy for us to have that instead for desert (I only ate a very small piece and no icing!).

If we'd had a good experience DH and I were planning on going there for lunch when we eat out on one of those rare occasions but definitely not now - we'll stick with Wetherspoons we know that our local one serves well cooked food!

Sorry to hear the celebration meal was a bit of a disaster denise I find I'm super critical of restaurants (Trip Advisor does well from me;)). I feel cheated (financially and otherwise) when I know I can cook better myself but what really gets to me is poor service. Too many places have cut back massively on staff.:(

It's good that you post your results every week sleazy but it would help us (and you) to know how you achieve your losses (and gains:(). If you know you went off plan then that's fine but if you had a gain and you don't understand why then maybe we could help make some suggestions.

We enjoyed the sweet and sour last night. I used half a small tin of pineapple pieces (including half the juice), 4 tbsps of orange juice and 2 tsps. of cornflour shared between DH and I and everything else was syn free so my 4 syns estimate was probably generous for the sauce. I'll explore other recipes and use other Speed veg too. Yesterday I used spring onions, peppers and mushrooms and threw in some courgette batons. Ideally I'd use baby sweetcorn and water chestnuts too.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: lentil and veg soup (S,P)
D: beef in 'red wine' (P) with mushrooms, onions, celery (S), SW roast potatoes (F), carrots, broccoli, cauli, cabbage (S)
Syns: HP sauce 1, cornflour 1, weekend wine:D
