apple - your neighbour is lucky to have you. Is this the one with the noisy/nosy child?
Thanks dolly! And yes, it the the noisy/nosy side. Well remembered! Since she decluttered her bloke, she has been soooo much quieter and much lovelier to live next to. But the financial side of it all is a right mess.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Apple - How kind of you to help your neighbour out like that
SSDD23 - Very well done on getting your debts down to just 2. Amazing
Still on NSD No 9
For a while now I've noticed that Himself isn't as mobile or as well generally as he was once. So today I decided to change the way we do some of our shopping (as we don't drive). I've bulk ordered some of the heavier and bulkier items that we need on line. Savvy shopping means that it won't cost very much more. An initial outlay but his health is more important and I have some money left in the food budget to pay for it.
I'm pleased to say that I've used quite a few things from the freezer for lunch and dinner today and I've used a lot of bits and pieces to make soup for dinner tomorrow. I've reinstated the three o'clock cuppa so that I can use up the many scones, pancakes etc that are lurking in there as well.
He's having a nap at the moment so I'm going to relax and watch an old Poirot whilst I write a few more cards.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Evening everyone number 6 checking in! Goodness me what awful weather we’re having again. Hope everyone is safe and well.
I’ve been so busy at work I’ve not had much chance to log on, so just a quick update from me tonight.
I’m on 9 NSD, using up is going well, lots of the little itty bits of stuff are being used up. Lunch to work everyday and I’m avoiding all coffee shops, although to be fair these two are pretty easy for me, I always take lunch and I very rarely buy a coffee out.
Feeling grateful I’m home and safe in the warmth, being busy at work, great work friends.
Stay safe everyone x0 -
Pay to your debt or savings first
Paid off one of my credit cards this morning, 8 debts down, 2 to go.
Amazing, well done!
Another Quick update from me #25:
Budget - ON TRACK. Although I spent a bit more on Xmas pressies for nieces/ nephews than expected. Will have to reign it in a bit.
NSD - now on 6/15.
Remove 60 Items - Nothing more removed, but I will use one of my weekend days offs to do another pre-Xmas clearout.
Outings - I have one planned for next week with my parents.
Lunch to Work - took some healthy fruit and snacks in so I could eat through the day (lots of meetings, not much time for a proper meal)
New Habit - my no drinking fizzy drinks habit took a turn for the worst last weekend but I'm back on track now. So far I'm on 11/30 fizz free
Grateful for - free tea and biscuits at work; that it hasn't rained all day; thermal clothing; good relationships with colleaguesSave £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Evening all!
NSD 8 in the bag. It is freezing!
Manic day today, school run, volunteering, school run, pick up 3, drop off 2, bring one back to dentist, pick up another one on the way back, 40 minutes at home to feed them something hot before dropping one back at school - still have to pick him up again at 8pm. I feel like I have spent most of the day in the car. When not doing the washing up and laundry.
Gratitudes:
meeting nice people through volunteering,
everyone who donates to a f/bank - you are EPIC -

Today I am grateful that no one at work seemed to notice that I'd forgotten to brush my hair (!), for somehow doing the right thing in a situation with a kid where I had no idea what their situation was, for a colleague offering to help me out with something, for dh not needing the car so I didn't have to rush home from work, for a nice walk up to meet dd after school, for my felt unicorns with cmas hats on looking so cute, for my cousin getting the job he applied for, for having a place like this to come and gather my thoughts .NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
