Please can I sign up again this month? I have signed up for the last 2 challenges and have been reading along but not following the rules.

With redundancy looming at the end of the year and me feeling rather low I need something to focus on so hoping to join in properly this month.

Hi Apple, Ive been away from the boards for months but now ready to get back to it. I'll work budgets out tomorrow and post. Pay day has been and gone so I need to see whats been paid and what needs paying, so will have to get my head around it!! At the moment I don't have much on in November so hopefully I can be super frugal (in my dreams as something always crops up)

  • So excited about starting the challenge so wanted to check in early!

I’m on day 3 of NSD’s this week, which I’m pleased about, I’m terrible for stopping off at our local shop to look for YS items, which I don’t need as my freezer is full to bursting! It’s definitely the thrill of a bargain rather than needing any shopping.

Keen to use up my cleaning products, I have a real weakness for cleaning products and have LOTS!

Also have lots of beauty lotions and potions, not so much what I buy myself but gifts and have lots of bits and bobs of creams to use up.

In terms of giving up 60 items, might struggle on this one as I’ve just had a massive clear out of my clothes and shoes, and donated loads to my local chazzer. One thing I’d like to lose is about half a stone in weight so might focus of getting rid of that :rotfl:

Looking forward to getting started properly on 1st November.

Hi everyone, accounts done and not as bad as it could be. DD's accounted for and amounts put away in five other accounts for annual bills etc. CC fully paid off - it was only a small amount, I only use it for internet purchases and I tend not to make any! filled my car up with fuel for the month and put money away for window cleaner, so that leaves me a grand total of £34.50 a week for everything which is OK if it was only food but may be a little tight if something crops up. I do have an emergency fund but that doesn't get touched!!! so here goes …. off to do a menu plan for the first week and then to the shops to buy some stuff. Im OK for today as I have a mixture of 'stuff' in the fridge
to use up. So hm soup for lunch and sausage and mash for tea.
