Avoid any and every chain coffee shop etc. Support local shops and traders. hmmm... bought smalls a McDs whilst out but OH and I abstained
Remove 60 items from your house (2 per day) - another 15 today - 11 items to homeless women appeal, 4 to CS box :T 109/60
Use up your toiletries and household cleaners before buying any more. - yep - unwrapped another bar of soap for using in shower rather than buying shower gel. Remains (small!) of previous bar will be used when next making laundry goop, so no waste
Go on 2 outings - went to a free exhibition today but did make a charity donation whilst there
Donate £5 or time to a charity you support. - lots of 'things' being donated. Still to do poppy appeal - also donated £10 to a lovely cause today. Will likely still send some things to school with DS2 for food bank as they are running a collection this month
Come on here every day and post 3 things you are grateful for. - the beautiful building that is Gloucester Cathedral, the smalls enjoying a wander around said cathedral and learning lots of things, getting some more paperwork sorted for my nan's house sale
Start 1 or 2 new habits this month, ones that are simple and will make you feel better - fewer cups of tea and min 4 f&v per day - ok today for f&v. ..I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Hi everyone
Indigo what a lovely thing to do.
Again I haven't been out, so spent nothing. I have been cleaning and decluttering my wardrobe and the cupboard under the kitchen sink.
Lots of clothes (not counted how many and already put in the car) that don't fit anymore (too big - yay) and a couple of pairs of shoes that I don't wear. Things thrown away from under the sink and some things to be given to DD1, I sold my little caravan a month ago and when I emptied it I bought home all the cleaning stuff, cloths etc so I have two or even three tins, packets of everything so I will keep some and give the rest to DD1.
The money from the caravan is going into the house fund incase the washer breaks, the trees need trimming or something, not into my emergency fund.
So 3/15 SFD
Fresh air - not much, will have to improve.
Daily gratitude:1. Getting rid of 'stuff'
2. Cleaning done from list
3. Good health
New habits: 1. Be more organised, write lists and complete
2. Go into sewing room 4 times a week.

Am now at 3 NSDs so far. Thankful for spending time with my two littlest nieces yesterday and all the snuggles I had with them, for the beautiful pictures that they drew and then chose to give to me (without prompting from anyone), and for the lovely jumper that my mum has made and sewn up for me today.0

Difficult day for me, at least the killer headache has abated, now if I could just breathe (I will appreciate it when I can do it again.)
So very slow and mostly conffined to my room. Dishwasher and washing machine have been emptied and filled and some of the dry things have been brought upstairs (can't carry much). Tried to have curry at lunch but only ate a bit (all leftovers and if it doesn't get finished soon it will be thrown out) so soup for tea.
Sorted through my clothes and there were one or two things I had forgotten about. My clothes fall into 3 categories:
1 too small but keeping them
2 Good wearable stuff
3 Use ups - several past their best tunic tops (fine for everyday and then will go in the rag bag), very old pair of jogging bottoms (they were behind the bedroom door so suspect it's 'painting clothes') and 3 t-shirts that are on the way out (one is at least 16 years old).
Winter wardrobe looks very black and navy (have colourful tops but they are in the drawers rather than hung up). When I get to next summer and I have lost weight, I have some very pretty dresses.
Lots of old tax and business paperwork has gone (> 7 yo) and various bits have gone in the dead file, the tax receipts file and in the file box.
Three lengths of blackout material which I used as temporary sheets have been cut down for rags (sort of reverse getting rid of as instead of 3 things I now have about 72 but they should all fit in one bag and be hung up in whichever room I am clearing). The new sheets in their bags are in a cubby hole on the shelves and the single ones on top (will carry on using them until 'C' and then they can be the guest bed sheets). Going to use the adjacent cubby for towels (and if Beloved wants to soak towels in conditioner, she can use her own).
Christmas decorations will move off the cubby shelves and into the bottom of the wardrobe. Cleaning has got to happen and if I can get up a ladder (not today obviously, but on a rare 'good' day) windows etc will be cleaned and then twinkly lights will be put up - not going back up the ladder later on.
Tomorrow is a late start - mum has an afternoon appointment and they will pick me up at the side of the library on the way there. However at about the time I would normally be thinking of coming home, we will be heading to church for the All saints and all souls service. None of mum's partner's children are going but the twins might so I've been told I'm either doing the candle for mum's partner or (if a twin does that candle), one for my aunt.
I have an appoimtment next week and there are a couple of small madical bits to sort the week after. Wolfenoot is on the 23rd, film club is the 29th and Carol service on the 30th. The fireworks for the 'C' lights switch on is usually the 3rd or 4th Thursday in the month (front row seat for that as they set the fireworks up on the town hall/ library car park and I can watch it all, sitting on the edge of my bed).
All those activities are free/ donation/ mum paying. I would also like to visit a 'C' mark in December, see the reindeer (or Alpacas if I can track them down, go to the tree festival and meet DS1 and lovely d-i-l for a meal/ pass on presents. That will now be dependant on when DS1 starts a new job and what the shift pattern is (he had a long telephone interview and they asked about shift patterns and commuting so fingers crossed).
They have seen her mother more than me this year and she lives in Greece:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Today I am grateful for getting things done (snipping and ripping fabric into rags is quite soothing), for the headache lessening and for soup.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Budget - bought paint, a wee dehumidifier and some food today.

Items removed - nothing today so 17/60.
Use up - I have 4 half used hand creams so have put them all on the table beside where I sit to remind me to use them up.
Outings - firework display and coffee with some friends are planned.
Daily fresh air - me and OH went a walk along the beach. Very windy day so the waves were amazing
Donate - put a few items in the food bank collection while in the supermarket.
Gratitudes - lovely walk, gingerbread candle, roast beef for tea.
New habits - to do an average of 10,000 steps each day so 300,000 over the course of the month, 22,500/300,000.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi all :j
Budgets: Not set yet but am cutting down on shopping & also C*mas. Will not be a standard month as hols intervene.
Make do, mend, or do without: Making do with food we have in already. DH mending the shower thingy (with glue, natch) seems to be holding so far but with DD holding the fort whilst we are away, I am not hopeful.
achieve at least 15 NSD : now 2/15
Coffee: Never drink it or go in a coffee shop so that's an easy one for me.
Meals: meals all made at home today, had to alter plans as cooked chicken fell out of fridge & dish smashed on floor, couldn't then use it as bit of glass everywhere. So used a tin of steak & made a pie, not as healthy but tasty. And no cash spent.
Remove 60 items: Removed 4 bottles of ood sauce.
Toiletries: Have loads & have a birthday this month so will hopefully get some more.
2 Outings: May be more than that as on hols...one is a meal out with family, but their treat so hopefully no cost. First one coming up on Tuesday.
Fresh air:DH out clearing carpets from previous property, I had the fluffs out with me in the fresh air, whilst attempting to clear out the porch at the back.
donate £5 or time to a charity you support: Have donated £2 to one, will donate to the other. To do.
Three things: Getting into pjs after a busy day, appreciation of my efforts by family, happy pets.
Reach out: Sent hm muffins with DD as dessert when her friend was making her supper.
start 1 or 2 new habits this month: Water OK, diet not so much.
Popping in to say hi : Hello turtles!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -

Yesterday and Friday were NSD's, with no planned spends today either. So I should be on 3 by COP.
That being said, I do have some stuff to order, so I might take the hit today.
Grateful for
- Coming into a warm office
- Given a free ticket to the football at the weekend
- The lovely colours of the autumn leaves0
