Hi all!
thanks for your kind thoughts re DSs accident, he's lay on the sofa now recovering. We went to the police and he made a statement. the witness had already informed the police, he's got to cath the bus to Worcester at 7am and then his work mate will pick him up and take him to Bromsgrove where they work, then bring him back for the bus at night. Not sure about the car but it doesn't look hopeful although it was drivable all the front passenger side is squashed and half the bumpers come off, also the light is smashed and there's bits hanging off the front.Havent told DH as I dont want him worrying about it all day.
Off to get some lunch nowDo what you love :happyhear0 -

:T Hi everyone
Happy Birthday Twink :bdaycake: and anyone else celebrating. Don't worry about your age, you've got there, not everyone does (& I'm not that far behind you!:rotfl: :rotfl:.
Mangaged to pull myself out of my lethargy to post,:o but I have read the thread though! A little of reaction to things being waited for for ages now done, house a total and utter tip as kitchen/front hall emptied, cold with my dear builders/kitchen fitters keeping the outer door open, though doors beyond the kitchen are tighly closed, and knee falling out with me. I am lucky with my guys as I have had them before and do a good job, coming up with suggestions to improve where he can, and the finish is always brill. I will have doors back on the units (apart from one or two still to arrive!) and probably the floor laid by the end of today, so can start cleaning the cupboad and putting back, (and getting another lecture off DH about hoarding and "what do you want this for!") but at least he [STRIKE]hinders [/STRIKE]helps (or does most of it) Trouble is he insists of placing things where he thinks they fit the best and not putting the things I want to the front! Its easier to let him do it as he thinks fit, and then re-arrange when he is not looking. Once the kitchen and front porch are finished, he is going to go and do another job so that we can clear up what he has done so far, and then empty the side bedroom. With a promise everything will be done and fixed for Xmas.:j
Must go to Lidl, we like their cereals and have totally run out, trouble is will end up going to other stores nearly as well:o . Think I will take myself and get away from everyone for a while. When I feel like this it is what I usually do.
Don't I sound a grump, and with no real reason, never mind, it never lasts long I'll snap out of it shortly.
(((hugs))) to those of you with real reasons to feel carp.
TAPLADY - hugs to you and DS I know it costs money and that is hard, but DS being OK is what is really important.
Jayward - keep in touch
Pen-Pen - you are far to energetic and fit for me :rotfl::rotfl:
Nelski - ((hugs)) re your kitchen - IKWYM

Hello all,
Just about to put on load number 3 in the wm and more to come when that's finished....seems to breed if you don't put it straight into the wm, doesn't it.
Getting OH to go into attic to-day I hope, lots of things we don't use on any kind of a regular basis, have decided that I need to get rid of it all out of the kitchen utility area, will leave more space for stuff we do use often.
Happy birthday Twink :bdaycake:delighted to hear that 60 is new 25, wonder how many years you add for each additional one?? Have a good day and ignore all the nasties on here...feet up.
Taplady....car unimportant, although inconvenient so glad that DS is ok and that the witness has been so good.
Pink...what a beautiful girl! Glad that Adam is feeling able to go back to school and hope that it goes well for him.
Jayward...this site is addictive but wonderful when you need back up and consolation...keep coming back
Hugs to all who need or want one and congratulations to anyone celebrating.

Happy Birthday Twink :bdaycake:
DD will be home at 2.30 to go to orthodontist appointment - think it will be a wasted trip as it is only ten days since she had two teeth out ready for a brace and fairly sure her gum needs to settle down before they can measure.
DH decided to be "efficient" and make the orthodontist appointment himself as he will have to fit in the time off work to drive her. Trouble is he did this without me knowing so when it was all done and I innocently pointed out that she might need more time before the appointment - it was MY fault for not telling him!
Let him find out for himself later! If they can do it DD will be pleased and if not - then he might learn to listen to people now and then!
Might do shepherd's pie tonight as it is fairly quick and simple.
Hester love the DILLIGAF!
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Donny just wanted to say how handsome your DS is, Ooooo if I were a few years younger :rotfl:
Have made two lasagnes one for tonight and one for freezer, a huge pasta bake, DD has it for lunch every day  .
And 12 plain and 12 cheese scones,in the oven the cheese ones I ended up putting a mixtire of cheddar, brie and stilton in don't know if it will work, but cheese needed using, and they smell good, will take out of oven in a mo, and test one, just for research you understand :rotfl:
Got washing back in, and it was still as damp as when I put it out, still it smells nice and fresh, will hang over rads.
Finished wrapping DD's birthday presents, its on Wednesday, and written card, so thats all done.
Off to check scones, afternoon all xxx0
