    morning all

big happy birthday to Twink (don't wory about getting older - I have been 39 for three years now)

Wow - Miss Pink the Prom Princess - gorgeous. Have the doctors said whether rugby will ever be a good idea for Master Pink - little dd has only 1 kidney and has been told that contact sports and alochol will have to be very carefully thought out when she's older. She's just getting ready for her first day at school in a week - tonsils still swollen but she has some throat sweeties and I have ensured that life at home is really boring (not hard) so she is keen to go in today :)

Mrs Mix - hope your knee gets better soon. I hurt mine on saturday beigng exterminated by dgs's new dalek and it's still bloomin sore but not colourful.

Nothing exciting today - flying, knitting, cooking, washing blah blah - have good day all
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Good Morning All

Happy Birthday Twink have a lovely day!

Sorry not had chance to read thread, so behind this morning!
    (((hugs))) to all!

Council did a good job with the tiling (for a change) now Im left with the task of re-decorating the bathroom!

Did some more listing on Saturday on ebay, will start to make some wedding invitations soon and perhaps list them also!

Ive had to email the solicitor again, to write another letter to exOH. He's not fetching the kids on time, and it was left down to me to take them to his this wk end. He got face on again (for some reason), and said he wasn't having them!

Between myself & OH we got the housework done y-day, and wrapped DD Xmas presents. Didnt have any suitable paper to do DS, and I dont think he would appreciate his gifts being wrapped in pink fairy paper either.

Bangers, mash & veg for dinner later.

Right best off, got to write Brother's Xmas card and get that posted today. Not sure how long it'll take to get to Florida!

    Have a great day
    Love to all

    Morning!

havent read the thread yet but wanted to say Happy Birthday to Twink!:bdaycake:

Have had a very stressful start to the day, DS1(17) was nearly killed in an accident, some idiot overtook a long line of traffic and my DS only avoided a head on by swerving into the hedge, probably writing off his car:mad: then the idiot didn't stop:mad:   luckily my son is ok but shocked, another motorist got the car number and has agreed to be a witness.
We have mananged to get the car home and are going to the police station to report it in a minute. DS only has 3rd party insurance due to his age so I dont know what we are going to do about it or how he will get to work from now on.
Will let you know how we get on later
    Do what you love :happyhear

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINK xxxx hope you have a lovely day xxx
  • Morning all,

Sitting here drinking tea and putting off decorating this wedding cake. I had 3 dreams last night all about wedding cakes - what if the ganache seizes etc! Still you can hide a lot with ribbon:D

I'm also on alert as a friend is 38 weeks pregnant and is feeling very uncomfortable. She was supposed to go with dh to Derry for work today - but they have decided that she should stay in Belfast - I think dh was worried he might have to deliver the baby in the back of the car on the top of the Glenshane Pass  . I have requested her to hold off till this bl**ming wedding cake is done and delivered to the hotel

We're having a cheese, potato and onion pie tonight in a double pastry layer- there's loads of cheese left from when my parents were here last week - so I'm hoping ds1 and I will suffer less if it's cooked. It will be worth it.

Ds1 has more exams today - technology and geography. The Y8 exams finish on Weds so he has 2 half days on Thurs and Fri - and ds2 has Friday off because off parent teacher consultations. This is in addition to the 2 study days ds1 had last week and the 11.30 start for ds2 last Friday because of the 11+.

    Happy birthday Twink
Glad to hear Adam is thinking of school, Pink - hope he manages ok.

    Have a good day everyone

PS Hugs to Taplady and ds1 - hope the police get the idiot

    2 food shoping
    3 B & Q for tile edging
4 try to tidy up around the house
DW is on and ironing done yesterday:j
Pink your DD looked lovely and glad to hear Adam is on the mend
Tap Lady glad DS is ok

hugs to all who need them have a good day
  • OMG taplady, that's awful!!!! (((((((hugs)))))) to you all, and so glad he's OK, but you'll need to keep an eye on him for the shock. Good that you've got an independent witness.

Pink, your DD is gorgeous! She and her friends look lovely:D For what it's worth I think you're absolutely right to let Adam go back to school. If he gets too tired you can think again, but it sounds like the school will look out for him, and the boost he'll get from being with his friends will be invaluable.

twink:bdaycake: Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy your day:D

mrs mix, glad to hear the knee is getting better. So are you now at that lovely stage where you have all the bruise colours from purple through green and yellow?:rotfl: Don't try and do too much will you:D

Aussie, what will you get in exchange for a pepper (good one Snowy:rotfl: ) ? Don't know where they rate on the scale of vegetable currency:p

Today I must do some baking because the biscuit tin has been empty the whole weekend!! Bad mother:rolleyes: I told them I'm looking out for their weight and teeth;) Definitely making some twinks which is very appropriate today, and probably some choc chip cookies and shortbread. Although I haven't made welsh cakes for a while so might do some of those. Kazonline, if you read this, ((((hugs))))) to you.

Off for a quick look round, while I eat my toast:D

    CM xx

I have loads, cleaning, wrapping presents, sorting the loft, the WM is on with its second load snd i also need to get the BM on. I also have all my emails from the weekend to catch up with, so think i might start that first, and then take it from there.
