  • Debt update 6 percent of my debt paid. Won't be that much every month but that's one d debit to knock of the list.

  • Hope so. Would be nice to have. A username that is no longer relevant ha ha.
Next ones in my name are 2908, 2598 and 1872.
Am aiming to get the 2598 one down next. Seeing if i can get it to 750 or so in order to rinse and repeat each month with shopping and petrol till I budget it down further.

6% in a month is great!  Well done on getting rid of a debt as well :)

  • We got some UC. They pay in arrears so a fair bit of that debt was built up whilst DH of sick. We were awarded 400 as DH on SSP during the assessment period. I cleared the debt I had built up and our d debits helped with the rest. The percentage looks a lot higher just focusing on debts in my name too. Not sure if that's cheating but I'll take it. Aiming to be at 10 percent by new year.
Thankfully DH is back at work for now but still in pain which is a worry.

Not cheating at all!  It all counts.

  • Some small amounts sent to debts and  some wins with the gas and electricity (I think)
Octopus crystal ball projected our spend to be 124 pound in July but we spent 102. Our projected spend in aug was 124 and we have spent 108 up till today tea time.
Next target less than 138 in sept.
The crystal ball app was a scary amount so it has to be lower -preferably a lot lower but we are of to a good start....

  • I have stopped watching the news, follow ML on faceache so wait to see what he posts, at least I trust Martin! It is all terrifying, we don't have mains gas so are on bottled gas, it was £150 for two bottles a few months back- they last 3-4 weeks in the Winter and that isn't us being silly. Electric is a whole other stress! Massive congrats on the payment this month!

Thankyou. Those gas bottles sound a bit ouch. Yes I agree the news is not that helpful to watch at the moment. I've resorted to learning via the forum and mse posts. I'm learning all sorts of things I never knew before about energy. I can see our costs being similar as our gas useage will rocket in winter but whilst it's nice I'm playing beat the crystal ball. I hope the price of gas comes down.
