I'm glad u had same thoughts as me jwil. Seems far to soon to be spending on school holidays abroad. And far too expensive in current climate. I darent ask anyone how much the high school trips cost.

@NeverendingDMP just wanted to say I've read your whole diary and subscribed.   Congratulations on all the progress you've made; you'll get there.  Cheering you on love Humdinger xx
Thankyou so much. Just the boost I needed. Especially as I was hovering around the 10k mark for a while. Even though the expense was fairly planned it wracks up so quickly it's scary

A few pence paid of debts today and a direct debit to one of the cards.
Schools optional tomorrow so DH sick leave has come in.handy. and we will keep them off. we are in the north but I was uncomfortable at work today once it got past one o clock so theirs no need for kids to be like that at school again if we have the choice especially as it's meant to be worse tomorrow. I'm working but they can stay in coolest rooms at home.
They all had wet paper towels on their head whilst they watched news round apparently in class today !

Tilly tallies done a few pence sent to my soonest ending c card. Not thoroughly excited by the idea of being at work today with the heat forecast but it will cool tomorrow so I know it's temporary. Signature is out of date so will need to update. DH signed off for 2 more weeks but from what's been said we might have had a bit more UC to compensate. Find out the end of the month. Strict budgeting till then.

Some good news. I'm getting a payrise. My basic guess is I'm better off by 50 or 60 a month after tax. Not completely sure as no figures saying the actual pay rate per band are on the internet yet. But I'm sure that will follow in the next few days. That raise is pretty much spoken for with cost of living but has definitely come at the right time and I'm.licky to get one so I'm happy. And it was a nice thing after spending all day at work far to hot.
In other news small Tilly tally to debts this morning and my e fund is now twenty pounds. Will update sigs hopefully today.

Signature updated. 1% of current debts is 163.17. probably able to pay 4percent by end of year so let's aim for five. First target sub 16 k

Payday next week. Don't think the new wage will happen just yet but have seen confirmation of the bandings online and my rough guess seemed about right so I'm happy. If we can afford the bills and keep the kids swimming lessons that's enough for me in current climate!  Also find out late next week if we were entitled to any UC. If we are I will use it towards next months living costs as DH still signed off. Technically speaking I should put it towards the extra debt we've run up but I think we need to focus on the here and now and just pay minimums till we know we are straight and he's back at work

And I have loads of washing to do despite the heatwave. Am I the only person whose washing didn't go out earlier in the week. Bad planning from me 🤣

Thankyou. I was hoping for the 3 percent that was rumoured but it's worked out better for me. Was very relieved 🙂
