Thanks jwil.
Last big bill paid for. We still have a couple of Little bills to pay for alongside some costs- we think we still need a skip and there is some new things we would like to buy along the way such as window blinds , rug.
I've done easy 10 to 15 trips to the tip this week, our builders removed everything off site but we have loads left of our own from when we had the leak and had to pull stuff out. I only have a little car so it's been an absolute bore to go back and forth to the tip so many times.
Budget is blown and we will just scrape through with what is set aside.
I'll have a proper count up and update the figures this week

Weekly meter readings entered. 35 pounds this week. When looking back over recent weeks we range between 20 and 25 pw for electricity and the gas bill is completely weather dependant as to be expected. We've had some new appliances fitted this week so I'll continue to monitor but I'm feeling a bit more reassured that if we get a nice summer my account will be at 0 or have a tiny bit of credit before the winter onslaught. Ideally we can knock it down further so we actually have a head start. I've set the d debit at 200 a month but honestly it's gonna need to be more in winter, a lot more if oct cap increases. I've not had the 150 rebate yet but am entitled. I'm unsure whether to put it in my utility bill like I'm.meant to or use it towards reduce a debt.!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Signature updated. Debts and mortgage down, e fund slightly down but thats mainly due to me swapping it back to the isa where I used to keep it and leaving some in main account for car insurance due next month.
Being in the ISA also means I have to concentrate more on moving money out of it so am more likely to keep it as an actual emergency fund!
We are highly unlikely to ever need its full allowance so its as good a place as any for me to put it.
Debts wise we are at
392 0% for another 5 months or so
2388 0% for another 4 months
2899 0% for 18 months
Other half debts
1014
1600
both have interest, who knows what rate....
2675 and 4851 both interest frozen.
I'm making payments on everything except the 2 other half's that have interest. I'm.in no rush to clear them or transfer to a deal in my name as he will just use them again:(

Fairly low spend today and another trip to the tip. With more to go. Have found a local rubbish removal van that will clear the bulky stuff so have booked them for this weekend. It's 100 pounds but honestly with the size and amount of the stuff and the weight I think it's 100 well spent. Skips locally are 240 quid minimum size. I will continue to take anything I can break down in my car to avoid paying anything but petrol for the rest. Need to do a big toy sort out too. Maybe a bit each evening whilst they are in bed. Then f book or local charity shops to re gift and declutter.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

£100 is cheap for a large bulky removal. Make sure you get a written receipt and keep contact details to cover yourself. Lots of advice on here about checking they are licenced: https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/recycling-waste-and-environment/recycling-and-waste/wasteaware-campaigns/lets-scrap-fly-tipping.aspx
I'm with you on the need to do a big toy sort out!

Thanks jwil. They advertise as being above board but I'm sure everyone says that. The link was really useful. I've checked and they are above board. Phew!
Yes I thought 100 was really rvery reasonable considering. I'm still doing tip runs myself but these bits are too big/too heavy for me so I'm glad there is there is alternative. All being well its being removed Saturday. I've got my local scrap collector on messenger too and he's being doing well out of us this month!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I'd like to say my House is now tidy and minimalist but it's nowhere near. And prib never will be.
Snagging jobs are due beg of June when joiner is next free.
And the mass toy clear out has begun. Kids want to keep everything so I've got it all in a pile on the living room floor. Strangely enough the pile.shrinks by a shopping bag every night once the kids are in bed.
Just need to fbook, pass on, donate, get rid, otherwise I'll have a boot full of toys with no where to put them!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

The mission to rediscover all our carpets has begun. We have had stuff store everywhere and been living surrounded by bags and boxes. Work on the house has pretty much finished now part from snagging so I'm trying to put the rest of the house back together. I've been doinga couple of hrs every night when kids In bed and I'm off today. I'm flagging though now. I've got house to myself for 2 hrs so will eat something and need to try and get cracking again.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I have found 3 carpets and actually hoovered them. Lots of things stacked on the window sills but that's tomorrow's job. 😀Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Great news that they are legit, and good bargain.
Well done on the decluttering and hoovering, I made precisely zero progress today!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
