So its that time of year again when child tax benefit does it's strange mathmatical hiccup. We have had a letter today they have overpaid and we owe a few hundred pounds back. I will not panic till we can give them our p60 and get the final declaration sorted. We get 20 pounds a week and are so so close to not claiming. It would be lovely to be able to not need to claim ams just live off the wages. Our childcare costs will reduce slightly  in 18 months then again 3 years later they should finish completely

Otherwise sun is shining. We are still mucked up at home. Ended up with unexpected costs as we have been to a and e again this week and the high cost of parking and vending machines crept in. All okay though which is what counts.

I was so glad to see the back of tax credits, it was always so stressful trying to figure out whether it was all right or not!

Glad whoever needed A&E was ok x

Yes was a minor break so all well, and it will heal.  A and e was heaving though so 5 hrs visit. Such a nightmare for the staff there, it looked relentless on children and adults sides.

Still ouch though, and yes, I feel so sorry for the hospital staff, they are all under so much pressure at the moment.

One of out big bills for the house has arrived. Quote was the same as what was billed and the extras we added on during were reasonably priced amd fair so it's a yes for that bill.  We are on track to have enough for the quote for remainder of the works. Whilst we are still in a mess with everything everywhere it's reassuring to know that bill has been done and dusted and what we have left in the bank matches what the next stage bill will be.
We just need the next contractor to turn up (due next week)

Weekly meter readings taken. My online account says that I've spent 33 pounds on gas and electricity this week which is less than the week before so I'm happy. Sun is shining so will try and persuade kids to leave the house and go to park for a bit!

The next contractor came, he does a  bit then he goes, comes the next day does a bit then he goes....would be happy to recommend our builders, I'm very much on the fence about our current workman.
Otherwise tilly tallies done, we are living off utter rubbish as we have no sink/cooking facilities now. Budget is clinging on for dear life but its sunny
