  • Signature updated. Debt was slightly above what I thought. E fund has grown and mortgage has gone down and will  be paid again next week. We got a statement for Mortgage the other day. It's about 140 a month in interest which obv is bad but actually is a lot better than last years statement said it was. Means the balance should come down nicely this year.

Update to the signature. Slightly less debt than it was before. Made a few little overpayments to the mortgage to-only about 25 pounds in the last 5 or 6 weeks but thought I would pay some as it's my only interest bearing debt at the moment. Pretended to go on a healthy eating plan too. Need to put a bit more effort in on that although I'm now classed as overweight not obese as I lost 3 lbs.  :)

One of our debts has been sold to cabot financial. Never dealt with them before. It was with the original company and managed by westcott. Apparently westcott still manage it but Cabot now own it. I'm hoping that's a good thing as it might have been bought by them for less than the amount owed.   Who knows I might ne able to do a deal and settle at some point.

I've cleared one of mine with Cabot.  I can't remember how much I paid now, I'll have to go back.  I don't think it would have been huge though.  It was enforceable too.  Just gone back and looked - they made me an offer with a 70% discount which I grabbed, so there's hope for you there :)

That's good bet you grabbed it. I would too. At least I know they are a fair company then x

Still plodding on. Keeping my accounts ending in zero. Cashed in ten pounds of morrisons vouchers on my more card yesterday and used towards sunglasses and sun hats for littles. I dont do a main shop there but we have a small store near us that is handy for late night top up shops. Probably built the points up over 12 months or so but it was free money really so very happy to cash it in.

I've had a text from tax credits to say we might be eligible  for the 500 pounds lump sum mentioned in the news. It was on the same text system that I get my code to log in so am assuming its above board.
Cant work out if we are entitled though as we dont get working tax credits and never have had them. We get child tax credits to help with childcare. That was 55 pounds a week and is reducing to just over 35 a week from now on so maybe we might :)

I wont complain if we are given it.
That's either a kitchen floor or rfinally replacing the toilet if we are given the money!!
If I can find anyone available to do the work. Ha ha

Accounts all in zero..had a 4.99 charge from amazon. Some kids subscription,  not sure what so I cancelled it. Need to keep an eye on it in case kids have bought something without me knowing. I thought I had everything set up to need a password but who knows.
Not much planned so hopefully a cheap or a nsd today

Hope you get the lump sum, that would be amazing.

I pay £4.99 a month for amazon kids - do yours have the kid's fire tablets? You get two years free then they start charging.
