Hello all.ages since I posted. Must try harder it's becoming a habit to not post.... Got one child isolating again but she is finally allowed out tomorrow. Is impossible to manage but thankfully work gave me time off and school finishes completely on friday so I'msoon to be safe in the knowledge the class dojo will not ping at random hours to send the kids home.
Debt wise its gone down but by putting some on a naughty interest card. (Got a lovely f and final offer took the plunge)
Will declare properly in another post. E fund is about 350. savings have vanished as have spent them.on a private tutor once a week in summer hols for sen child. Not ideal to be skint at start of summer hols but hopefully well worth it. hope everyone is okay and it to stressed. Will update properly soon!Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Nice to hear from you. Congrats on the F&F and the sink still being attached!

Again I've left it an absolute age to post.
General update. Covid still causing havoc, currently isolating with a confirmed case in the house. So far its manageable so fingers crossed it stays that way
Dmp debt has gone down but the Eagle eyed people will notice mortgage is up.
All dmp debt is at 0% and set at low payments so true to form.is it still never ending. Mortgage is up but hopefully will finally allow the kitchen and building works to take place so is a purposeful debt. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I've really had a break from the debt budgeting strictness I had to get me this far and in all honesty it did me good. I need ro get back on it and be mindful now of what I'm spending. Especially as my energy supplier went bust and the new supplier sent me my first bill yesterday .... it was not pretty reading.
First target e fund to 500 pounds, pref 750.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Hi @NeverendingDMP! I've just found your diary and it was good to read about your journey - looks like you're doing amazingly well! The energy supplier going bust is such a pain - lots of us are going to face that...
. Anyway, I just wanted to give a little cheer of encouragement. Sounds like you've achieved lots, and where you've had to take on extra debt it's with a real purpose.

Thanks. I took the decision to use some of the money I had set aside to get up to date with utilities bill yesterday. I'm sure it will go into debit over winter again as everyone's does at this time of year but at least I'm starting as of yesterday from 0 and I can monitor it. I still regularly tilly tally but have gone lax on the budget. Updating the diary and getting back on the forums should help with that thoughJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I've tilly tallied and updated my budgets to reflect reduced child taX credits.
Debt reduction will prob be slower now as they are on agreed repayment plans and I'm saving any spare cash and not sending to debts. The hope is too overpay the mage by 20 a month whilst building up the e fund. I'll start that after Jan though as these are expensive months!
Slight issue last week in that the freezer in the garage defrosted and I lost all my Xmas prep but these things happen. Pain to pay ro replace it but fortunately we are in a far better position than when we started this journey so we can swallow the cost.
Xmas shopping done bar from 1 person and the replacement food can be reordered. All online at moment as we still have someone in isolation till next week.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
