For now all you need to do is research so you are prepared if a claim drops on your mat.
One may never come alternatively it may land as soon as they are able to send it. If you are prepared and understand the process and issues it won't be traumatic for you.1 -

I really find it difficult to understand how you have no idea what to do next.hi all, came back from work today to get the CLAIM FORM......have no idea what do i need to do? do i complete the form and send it back ?
You have been following the guidance in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
Continue doing that.
What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
But you told us in post #18 above that Gladstones would "extend the Pre Action Protocol period by 30 days to 3rd December 2019".
Perhaps you should ask them what is wrong with their calendar.1 -

Well I would... in no uncertain terms.i have an email from them stating that they will extnd it it 3rd of december......should i email them and ask why the claim form has been sent?
May be worthy of a complaint to the SRA too.
However... you now have a live claim that can only be stopped by the Claimant.
So if you are unable to stop them, keep an eye on the target dates here...
With a Claim Issue Date of 11th November, you have until Monday 2nd December to do the Acknowledgment of Service. If possible, do not do the AoS before 16th November, and maybe delay doing it until the end of November. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.
Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 16th December 2019 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence could be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- No need to do anything on MCOL, but do check it after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure. Just file it.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

There are 17 example defences in the NEWBIES thread and we will help when you show us your draft based on the one nearest to your circumstances.(what to write in the defence)
No link, you know how to hop back to the NEWBIES thread because my signature tells everyone, it's 2 clicks back. But not visible on a phone...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
