Hiya
Pigpen - brilliant news about how well your son is doing - he's lucky to have such a supportive mum!
Sexymouse - fingers crossed about your job. I use the micromop from Lakeland that someone on here recommended. It's fab and thanks to whoever recommended it to me (sorry, i've forgotton who it was).
I'm now sat in a room with no pictures on the walls, no shelves, no ornaments and no flooring. I just have a tv, two sofas and a clock. It's fab if a little echoey. I'm going to fill all the holes tomorrow.
I've placed a basket at the bottom of the stairs for anything that is left lying around the house. If anything is still in it at night i'm giving it to charity (or so i've told everyone!!!). So far it's working. The children love 'tidying' up and putting things that are left lying around in it. The house is much tidier and it's funny how it's mostly DH and DS's stuff in there. I think my son is becoming a mini version of my hubby! xxJanuary budget

Hi everyone:hello:
Pigpen glad to here DS is doing so well.
Lil_me thanks for the ebay listing info.Need to clear attic me thinks.
Sexymouse fingers crossed.
Been a busy day here and i'm so tired (sister and BIl stayed till half 12 last night) i really need to be in bed by 10pm.
DD went to speech therapy (sp) today and they have decided she will need another block of 8 sessions after christmas but are very pleased with how she is coming on.
Then has the social worker out and she said it may be possible to get travelle allowance for leaving DD to school as she is not allowed on school bus, it would be great if we get it as i've 23000 and something on the car when i really should only have 13000 so excess mileage will hit me hard next year.
Sister is still out of work at the minute and i'm tring to help her as much as possible (phoning round places, phoning for applacations, done out her cv) but she's so not worried about itthe debt is getting bigger and they plan to marry next year in cyprus but i can't really see this happening.
Do i A) let her be and hope she sorts it out.
Orkeep pushing bit by bit
Or C) give her a KICK up the *** and put it straight to her that if she doesn't sort herself out soon, she gonna loss her house, there will be no wedding and she'll have a mountain of debt.
Any advice would be great.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Oh nearly forgot another problem, teacher comes out today to one of the parents and says" your son has a bad scrab on his arm as another boy done it today, this boy got a big telling off and has said sorry, your son has a plaster on this cut, so i just wanted to let you know".
In my head for some reason i thought hope it wasn't DS1 that done it. Got to the car and DD say's" mummy DS1 hit such and such(which is the boy mentioned) today and scrabed him". He has been told that santa will be very cross and he will be put on the naughty list and will get nothing for christmas, which of course he cried and said this boy took his puzzle and i said you don't hit anybody and if you have a problem go to the teacher. So in the end i told him if he behaves maybe santa will put him back on the good list.
His behaver is getting awful, shouting, using bad words and going hyper. Don't know what to do, told him he would have to see this boys mummy tomorrow and say sorry but i'm not sure if this is the right move.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Well, Im off to bed too.
After a very slow start the flat is looking decent again. Have done 3 loads of washing, have put dry clothes away (was floordrobe from previous wash!!), cleared some work on the computer and wiped down doors and handles,
Doesnt sound a lot, but just getting that far is an achievement. I should be more motivated tomorrow. See you guys then.

Hi everyone,
Pigpen - that's such wonderful news about your boy :j Reading is such a crucial life skill; you and he have done really well for the penny to drop in such a short time.
Well, *sigh* - I THINK I might be flying... a bit....
Here's my day:
6am - get up, wash and dress, make up etc - swish and swipe bathroom
put a load in washer
get breakfast, make sandwiches - swish and swipe kitchen sink/drainer
Go to work (DH washes up)
Home at 7pm:
Hang washing load on clothes horse
Make pot of tea
Put dinner on
Listen to answerphone messages
Make 2 'phone calls
While DH washes up, find all the descants for the carols we're doing in choir for tomorrow's practice
Plan lunch/supper for tomorrow (from master plan - defrost soup etc)
Read to DD
...
9pm - start Level 1 - Empty out fridge and wash out and put everything back with things that need using up at front
...
And now I'm done! It's too late to do Level 2 floors as DD is in bed, and I'm just too tired. I don't know where the evening has gone, and I just don't know how you all do it!
Off to have a bath now!
rumbly x0 -
evening all
sexymouse - great news, fingers crossed for you
pigpen - great news
solway - good to have you back, did you get your head straight re the relationship?
just back from meal out with the weightwatchers helpers! great fun. put on a pound this week so bit disappointed (must've been the chinese) but back into it tomorrow with avengence! friend has just called to cancel our meal out on thurs as she isn't well at all...shame not to see her but to be honest it will save money and diet!!!
no real flying done, gonna stick the washer on now and get back to the marking. will stay up til 12 or 1230 but no later, any more will have to be finished in the morning! i'm not doing all the feedback forms on the comp tonight they can wait til tomorrow
OH went to look at two houses tonight, he just said in a text there were some issues with the one we were potentially interested in but that he'd tell me later as his battery was dying (he left his phone charger here so i posted it recorded today). so i'll see what he has to say when he calls before bed. he seems set on us getting a house though i would be happy with a flat myself. think he is (sensibly) thinking that for the first time living together more space would be good, especially some outside space....
anyway marking calls.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
