Just had the call from the headteacher. I'm really nervous now, cos I'm going along for 1.30pm today! Have to get changed - hope I don't smell too much of eau de vinegar from flying in the kitchen - had my marigolds on when the phone rang. lol It's a temporary position teaching Year 2 children lil_me. Think it's a maternity cover so only probably for a couple of terms if that, but at least if I get it, I'll be able to start my induction/NQT year, and you never know, the lady may not come back and they may take me on for longer. Will have to leave at 1pm to get there in time - don't know whether to eat lunch before or after now. Suppose I could eat that maple danish I bought this morning for breakfast that I never had. :o I'm all of a flutter now!

Thanks everyone! Would be great if I could get my year done. It would start in February so may get a paid summer holiday.

Back from town, just having lunch. The sun is shining a bit here so I am very tempted to do 30 minutes outside lifting my dahlias and replacing with bulbs. It will limit how much gets done in the kitchen as my evening will be spent up and down to cricket trails but the garden bits need doing and I need sunlight.

Right, I'm all changed into smart clothes, and am off to visit the school now. Will let you all know how it went when I get home. Thanks for all of the wishes of luck.

By the way michelle, did you manage to get to the bottom of what was making you feel poorly the other day? Hope everything is well with you and the baby, and that little Charlie is feeling better too.

Good luck sexymouse...my little boy is year 2 and I love going in and helping in his class because they're still mostly lovely! It's the older ones I tend to want to throttle! Only joking (I think).

My aim today is to end the day with everything tidy. We have 'stuff' everywhere. Nothing is in the right room due to decorating so i'm just going to put everything where it should be. That's my aim anyway. Wish me luck.

    Speak soon xx
