Wow! You've bagged some bargains there sarahj:T
£165.40/£210 NSD 11/16
Just a quick update as we did an aldeee shop today. Quite impressed as we stuck to the list. Included one of those big pack of mushrooms for £1.40, as im planning to make lots of mushroom based meals.
However, I did spend about £30 on Xmas treats/foods for me to put in gift hampers, but I'm not going to include that in the GC as it comes out of a Xmas budget. But......phew.......I've broken the back of Xmas gift shopping, I can relax now.
Dinner tonight mushroom and veg stir fry
Dinner Sunday mushroom and bean lasagne with steamed veg.
Dinner Monday mushroom frittata
Yes......we like mushrooms:D
Have a lovely weekend everyone0 -
A quick trip to Aldi today turned into a much longer trip than planned as I drove to a recently opened one that although a little further than my usual one was much bigger. Loads of middle aisle products including a large selection of different wooden toys.
Anyway, food shop spend was £84 which included a couple of bottles of wine. I'm really pleased to report £299 / £400 . Only one more shop until pay day will be needed so feeling confident.Well Behaved women seldom make history

One more spend of £4.38 to declare - a few bits and bobs from asda to supplement the stuff I have in the freezer (living mostly out of my freezer at the mo, which is fine but it does get a bit dull occasionally!).
£26.41 / £40 in total for this month, so it's going well!Grocery Challenge

Spending up to £320.21/£400 leaving me £79.79 to spend up to the 27th. I would have had more but DH came with me to Mr T.;). The spend does include my reverse advent calendar for the food bank but not any Christmas spends as I have a separate budget for this.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
I think I've spent £138.39 so far, leaving me with £161.61 for the rest of the month. If anything I've over estimated as I'm trying to exclude non-grocery spend but this time of year things go in my trolley for Christmas and I'm not sure I've excluded them all. I'm under though so not going to stress too much!
I see December's is up. I need to think about what target to set. Think I'll need to take stock of the freezer contents first. We go away/out for quite a lot of the Christmas period so December should actually be a reasonably cheap month for us, but I don't want to set the target too low and go without/feel guilty for buying treats for when we are at home.
Haven't even thought about meal plans for this week, just relying on the freezer contents for now and will top up if I need to. I did buy fresh burger buns at the weekend so that'll be tonight's tea!0 -
Declaring £10.32 spend in the Co-op yesterday. Bread - to get less calorific slices than the door steps I am capable of with my own homemade bread, and some YS salad and a pizza deal.Keep reading books!
August grocery challenge budget £150, spent so far £45.95, remaining £104.05.0
