Also bought some wine, snacks and a choc santa to put away for Christmas only for the wine to roll out of the bag and crush poor santa who will now not make it to christmas

Monthly Tesco shop came today, has included Christmas bit's and furry owners food, litter and treats, so a scary £107.73 to add.
Just need to go to Lidl this week end to stock up on OH's coffee and milk and fingers crossed I can keep out of the shops for a week, seeing as over half my money has been spent.£71.93/ £180.000 -
126.73 spent of £150 budget As previously stated the £150 was a guess. however, had a pretty upsetting week last week resulting in a bit of retail therapy
Clothes have all been returned :T Obviously the food can't be:o
Spent £61.72 this week - £16+ was cat food - we are feeding more than ours at the moment.
Quite a bit - £20+ possibly? spent on reduced food items to make several meals with - already made 24 meals using some of the items and plenty left to make some more. Plus some were jars where you add only a bit for flavouring - the best prices i have seen these at as were reduced to half price or less :T
Also, went over to a different town where they have a shop we don't have here - bought bags of lentils for the cheapest i've seen.
Still disappointed with myself
:( No chance of coming in on budget simply because the cat food is so expensive. i will be buying more tonight, we have tried them on cheaper but they do not eat it.
i will continue to post because it is good for me to do so. I will limit the rest of the months spends as far as possible and i will set the same target for December of £150 when we get there & aim to come in under it - no treats this year
Thank you all for posting - this is a great thread and inspiring to read :T1st May 2025

Cat Food £16.24
Reduced Food £22.60
I bought a couple of needed toiletries, food bags £2.76
Rest of items were a couple of bits needed for a recipe and the storecupboard staples - tins and lentils.
