Thanks
In other news, although a totally different department, the new H&S bloke on site who has been here since May has been offered a job within the company....although I am happy for him, I am slightly annoyed as I have been here 2 years on a 6 month temp to perm contract and got told last Christmas that they weren't going to take me on as the main man in charge said No! :mad:0 -
DH got paid by new company today :j although it is way more than expected, as it is a new job we think his tax code hasn't caught up yet so chances are they will want it back next month, so we have moved the extra to an online account for the moment. I told DH that the new company may have been nice and paid him for the full month
Will see when his payslip arrives.
DH said December pay day is the 20th so only a week early.
Not a NSD today, I need to post my lovely friend's birthday present off so he gets it in time for his birthday on Sunday plus need to get other bits and pieces too.
Must remember to get DH's prescription tonight too, the pharmacy near site doesn't have what he needs and that's the only one in the area.0 -
Morning,
Sent my lovely friend's birthday present off, so he will get that today or tomorrow. I need to ring him on Sunday to wish him happy birthday.
DH & I had a good chat last night about the finances and stuff in general and depending on commission at work there is a very slim, slight chance that we could be totally debt free by next year. That would be AMAZING!!! and although he has only been at the new company three weeks, there's talk of him being promoted
I have said to him that I am not banking on the commission as it's never guaranteed but that my plan was to pay £1K off the OD and £7K off the CC's, he seemed fairly happy with that.
He did say that he has his own plan but wouldn't tell me what it was but just to "watch this space".
It's funny but we seem to be getting on a lot better since he changed jobs and we have talked more than we have done in the past year.
I have a very good feeling about 2020 just hope it goes our way.0 -

Thank you, it would be good if DH does get bonuses, we may finally be able to get back on an even keel again.another_casualty wrote: »Great news pmo2.!

Thanks AC, I can just about see a light at the end of the tunnel0 -
That all sounds really positive Purplemum
. I expect the stress of his old job was making DH more emotional and perhaps more irritable? Relief from all that stress will be good for the whole family.
