  • Afternoon,

Had quite a productive few days last week, although two solid days in Reading is not my idea of fun but it is slightly better than going in to Croydon like I used to.

Christmas present wise, the majority of DS's I need to order online, I have a few bits for DD to get and DH still needs to tell us what he wants from the kids.

Picked up my tapestry from the framers and it is beautiful, he has done a fantastic job and DD's choice of wooden surround was excellent. That's MiL's birthday present sorted :D

MiL's 90th party is this weekend, we have booked a premier inn for the night, us in one room and the kids in a twin. DD is making her Nan a Victoria Sponge just for her, so I have told DD to ensure that she has everything that she needs to make it and to let me know what she's missing. no later than Thursday.

DH appears to still be loving his new job...sorry if I keep banging on about it.

Pay day in 8 working days :D

Brought my lunch with me today.
  • Sounds like you've got a few good things coming up. No worries about going on about your DHs new job. I started a new job back in June and it's been such a revelation, I actually enjoy coming into work and it's such a contrast to my previous place that was making me ill with stress.

    Keep it up.

  • It's so lovely that DH enjoys his new job, it makes such a difference :).

It's good to get some Christmas shopping out of the way for peace of mind!

  • Morning,

DH has been for his blood test this morning, the hospital sent him a message yesterday to say that the appointment for the Angiogram has been moved to the 3rd December now, generally he still has chest pains and I think that is more to do with the stress that his body went through than an actual heart problem but we will see in a few weeks.

It was very cold this morning, I hate having to defrost the car in the morning :( There were several idiots on the motorway too. The big smash on the M4 was in the opposite direction to me but people were still driving like maniacs.

DS has his first wave of mock exams this week, I'm not sure how he'll get on I just hope he doesn't muck about as he needs the grades.

Leftover chicken and pasta bake with salad and a roll for lunch today and tomorrow.

I need to sort out the goals for December and for what we have coming up too.

Is it me or is the Walker's crisp Christmas advert annoying? I do however love the John Lewis one, the dragon makes me smile.
  • Just checked the BC and I forgot part of the balance still has interest added to it **roll eyes**

So the new balance for it was £4269.11, so I have paid off the £9.11 to round it down.

Never apologise for saying someone loves their job, it's a massive thing which affects everything in life.
Well done for the payment to round down the card balance

  • My aim at the beginning of the year was to get to £10K, this won't be happening but we should be about the £11K mark, which will be good enough for me :)

Looking at my spreadsheet, we will be down to £12K by new year but this isn't through lack of trying.

Still not given up just yet, the total will definitely be less than it is now this time next year!
  • Yes! The walkers crisps advert is annoying . Still , at least the jug eared one isn't doing it for a change. Most ads are annoying for many reasons . TBH , I think that the 2 best ads all year have been for more than pet insurance , and the tea advert with the dog and cat having a cup of tea, Then there's the Worcester ad with the cats .. I'll leave it there :rotfl:

I'm not a doctor , but have been called many things . It's does seem that it's the stress that your hubby has been going through at the carp destruction company that caused a lot of his issues .
I only say that , as I was in a similar situation .
I had pressure from universal credit and I had an ecg. Which was a bit jumpy . Now that I'm getting to grips with the procedure , I have no more issues there. Fingers crossed .

Everything still looks good pmo2. Keep going ...:)
