    Thanks AC :)

Yes hubby has now officially left the disorganised and chaotic company that caused him (and us) so much stress. I officially have a house husband for the rest of the day...well when he gets back from London that is.

New job starts on Monday and new beginnings for him :j:beer::T

    That’s fantastic news :j

  • Good morning,

Had a busy weekend this weekend. Both kids had their respective Remembrance Parades, so DH and I did the usual divide and conquer bit, DD's turn for the flag bearer this year and she did very well, I was so pleased. DS's squadron was marching behind the Army Cadets and his CO was adamant that they had to march better than them :rotfl: and they did. Very proud Mum :)

I went to the gym twice over the weekend, although I wasn't up for going yesterday I still went.

I made a cottage pie for dinner and I was going to have any remainder for lunch today but DD had other ideas and has snaffled the rest for Wednesday dinner.

No meal plan done (I know!!!) but DH and I came up with some ideas for this week.

I am holiday on Thursday/Friday this week to get the kids Christmas presents and then they are sorted.

DH started his new job today, I'm hoping that this is the right one for him, but to be fair, it can't be ay worse than the last one.

DS has bag packing with the Cadets on Saturday morning and I need to pick up the tapestry from the framers as well as DD's swimming lesson.

Hope his first day goes well
  • So first impressions are that the new company is a mile away from the old one :) they are so on the ball it's unreal. He turned up and they had everything ready for him and they were raring to go :j

The overdraft has been niggling at me this weekend. Although I can't physically get rid of it yet, I am thinking of opening up a new 'pot' and trickling money into it, so that when we are in a position to get rid of it completely we can do and it would be cheaper to do so. I was thinking of a reasonable interest account so that it earns money too. I was contemplating £10pm to begin with?

I have submitted the meter readings for the gas and electric and it's about £240 in total, I have money in the pots for that so I can transfer that over when the bill comes in.

I cleared my overdraft many moons ago, aka first LBM, I used to put money in a savings account at the start of the month, if I didn't use it at the end of the month I would transfer it back and reduce the overdraft limit, usually every time I reached £50 saved. Also I used to transfer all the money needed for bills into the bills account which would put me to the top of my overdraft the day after payday, by changing it so money was transfered at the start of each week I was able to significantly reduce the overdraft charges each month which helped with saving up to pay off lumps. Maybe you could tweak something like that and it will help clear it.
