The bigger the family , the bigger the problem .
I always got my nieces and nephews presents , but about 5 years or so I was told by one of my sisters that I don't need to do it now so I don't
They always said thank you , but they are in their mid - late /20s now with their own kids . The most I got in terms of presents from them was on the cards that were written by my sisters " from sister and nephew" etc. Different Values these days :rotfl:
Lots to say about in-laws and outlaws but I'll leave it there .:D
Tell me about it!0 -
Morning,
Team/Client Christmas lunch was yesterday and it was yummy, I didn't have to buy anything either as the company paid....always a plus in my book!
I didn't need to eat last night :rotfl:
I've signed up for Pay as much as you can 2020 challenge, with the aim of paying off £8000. £1K off the overdraft and £7K off the CC's....nothing lost in trying anyway.
Presents wrapped for the inlaws, just cards to write tonight.
DH is off out tonight for drinkies and a meal with some ex-colleagues, I have told him that if it is expensive to put it on the BC, not ideal but I can sort after Christmas.
DH's car is in for a service this morning, I'm just waiting for the call so I can transfer the money out from the pot to cover it.
We have two months left of this project to go and still no sign of being made permanent. Once Christmas is out of the way I am going to collar the Contracts Manager and see what is happening, but I think I will need to start properly looking again.0 -
Glad you had a very good day yesterday pmo2 , and your hubby this evening . It's a bit unsettling in your situation on the job side of things . Especially if you like the job you're contracting/ temping with .
Hope it all works out .
Everything else seems to be going very well . Long may that continue0 -

Thanks AC. I do like this company and I will be sad to leave when the time comes.0 -
DH rang, his car has been serviced and it was less than they quoted, he paid on the CC so I have transferred the money from the pot and will pay it straight off.0

Sounds like you good a good challenge to aim for in 2020, hopefully the job will sort itself out but must be very frustrated and worrying to have to go through the job hunting process again.
Great that the car service was less than you thought and yay to free dinners!

I hope you get some answers about the job, the uncertainty must be frustrating."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

I am £10 off cash out on One Poll

Once the Swagbucks one hits I will add it to the Overdraft account.
I am going to try and get back in to these again next year.
I have my phone booked in to have the battery changed, this is a Christmas present from DH and the kids
Site Team Christmas meal/drinkies Thursday night, which should be good.
Saturday I am having my hair cut and I am picking up my order from Veg man on the market. DD also has her last swimming lesson of the year (usually a fun session).
Need to think about my goals for January and get them listed on here before the end of this week as I doubt I'll be on here much over Christmas.
Really looking forward to finishing on Friday, I am really in need of a break!0
