Old Style Weight Loss 2019 Part 4

Hello all,
A busy week here again but I'm happy to record a loss of 2 lbs this week. I've tried to stick to decent meals so that I don't feel the need to pick between meals. Being busy has helped as I haven't had much time to look for snacks and I also have a cross stitch project that needs finishing in the next week or so. It's on white fabric so I can't snack at the same time as sewing.
Well done Cranky :T:T. I know what you mean about the cross stitch I try to knit or sew in the evening depending on my hands as I can't eat at the same time.
Good start to the day as I sat in the lane near me waiting for four peacocks to cross the road, three blue and one white they were taking their timeand the face of the van driver coming the other way was priceless :rotfl: I live close enough to hear them when I have my windows open and if I'm lucky earlier in the year I get to see them display their tails
B - fruit and yogurt
L - chicken laksa and noodles
D - scrambled egg and wheaten bread before tai chi and I'm now regretting the bread as it doesn't agree with me
S - 2 chocolate biscuits, grapes, pack of crisps so still too much eating between meals at workLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Ooooh I love peacocks.
I did cross stitch once, a pair of cushions... by the time I finished them I was so sick of them I gave them away. It was nice doing them though, time flies by.
Today I'm out with my friend for lunch. I'll skip pudding but other than that I wont be counting. I will post and declare later.
Have a good day everyone.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
How lovely to see those peacocks, Brambling, you must live near a posh estate or something like that.
Tighteningthebelt, I hope you get your scales back!
It is a fasting day for me today, but yesterday's food was good:
B Overnight Oats
L Soup
D Chicken Nuggets with lots of veggies, followed by yogurt and fruit, 2 oranges, many Ryvitas, Nakd bar and Alpen bar
I am a bit tired today as my laptop decided to turn itself on and play a loud video in the middle of the night - I got quite a fright!31.5/1000 -
Hello, everyone, I hope you’ve all had a very good day todayFrugalLina wrote: »I am a bit tired today as my laptop decided to turn itself on and play a loud video in the middle of the night - I got quite a fright!
Oh, FrugalLina that’s horrid when “equipment” goes rogue. I hope it behaves itself better tonight.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
Well done on your weight loss, CRANKY40 :T
May your fingers always be nimble, all you cross-stitchers
Today’s food:
B: fish fingers and tomatoes
L: jacket potato and baked beans, cinnamon yogurtspinach soup, ham omelette with mixed veg, yogurt with blackberries and apple.
So far so :A.
But had tea out with a friend, pot of plus toasted tea-cake with jam- but I did only look at the lovely cakes, and brought the butter home unused.

Sorry to let the side down and report a gain of +2 1/2lb
I know exactly what I've done, too much munching on naughty foods, Mc D last Friday, cinnamon cake, and then my Mum came back from visiting her sister in America with loads of biscuits, cakes and such.
Also I think being of work has not helped as I generally do around 11k steps a day when I'm working and have not left the house since last week.
I'm so annoyed with myself as I seem to spiral but I've told myself I'm still 2 stone lighter than at the beginning of the year.
So I have drawn a line today and started a fresh, I'm going for a walk tomorrow to get some fresh air (and some steps) I will allow some of the biscuits my Mum brought home but will work them into my daily allowance.
I'm not a cross stitcher but I am a knitter so will need to pick up my needles to keep my hands busy too!
Well done everyone on their loses :T

I believe it's the old lodge of the big house which was a school and is now apartments, the original family live in the lodge now, I believe some of the estate still belongs to them. The peacocks cross the road to the fields on the other side, it's not the first time they've held the traffic up
SIRENS I decided to keep you company on the naughty step. I'm also + 2.5lb and I'm not happy with myself, I know it comes from snacking on rubbish at work so it's got to stop. I popped to T express for tomatoes earlier and realised when I got to the till it was full of stuff to make me 'feel better' after the weight in so except for the tomatoes, milk and YS salad leaves it all went back on the shelves.
So SIRENS I'll join you in drawing that line and I'll start afresh with youLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Blue Doggy, the laptop seems to be OK now, I think it was something to do with a Windows update/very old laptop (which took 3 hours earlier in the day), that seemed to do more switching off and on again (7 hours later for some reason) before it was finally content. I hope it doesn't do it again, because hearing voices downstairs in the middle of the night was terrifying , until I realised what it was.
Sirens and Brambling, well done on facing the music and for your resolve to get back on the weight loss wagon -you can do this! :happyhear
Brambling, those peacocks need a pelican crossing! :rotfl:31.5/1000 -

I knit and crochet too. I have a wave pattern crochet blanket that I'm working on in between stitching. I made a crochet wave pattern bedspread for my best mate's christmas present last year and he loves it. A lot of friends had hand made bobble hats last winter. I'm thinking that the rest of my family could be good targets for that this year. Oh and I want to start making sprouts (green pom poms with googly eyes and red felt crowns). They're all getting some of them in their christmas parcels this year :rotfl:
I hope your dog is feeling a bit brighter Blue Doggy. I've stiffened up a bit with the cold weather too...
SIRENS don't be angry, if it was easy we'd all look like Twiggy. You have a plan for this week. Put your energy into following it instead of into being cross with yourself.
Take care all of you0 -
sirens and brambling onwards and upwards (should that be onwards and downwards) I'm sure you'll both get back on the right track again very soon.
I had a funny food experience yesterday. I went out with my friend to a local village pub. We had a lovely time together, she's a lovely friend and it's always good to see her. Over a couple of hours I ate fish and chips with mushy peas and a spoon of tartar sauce. That was from the lunch menu which is smallish portions. I folded on pudding and had Eton mess, which isn't the healthy choice. Again it wasnt a massive portion. I had a bottle of Heineken. Then I had cappuccino.
When I got home I was so tired I couldn't do anything for the rest of the day. I just dozed on the sofa pretending to myself I was listening to an audiobook! It was as if I had eaten a massive Christmas dinner but I didn't perk up again later. I wondered if something has changed in my body that it cant cope with the extra. It was all quite extreme. At about 7pm I had the last of the crustless quiche, a beetroot and some mangetout. I really could have - should have gone without it but it seemed a long way from lunch to tomorrow!
Needless to say I had a rubbish nights sleep, so I'll have to be careful today not to go sugar seeking because that's what I have always done when I'm tired.
Plan for today is fasting -
B
L
T - will prob use up butternut curry. Asda are delivering later so it'll be good to use the old stuff up.

Kind regards xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
