I went on to read a lot of the metro comments and clearly these people do not know "do not feed the trolls"! I admit that I very much enjoyed it. Especially the secondary troll who said that they were on £140k but they work earlier and later than everyone else in their company.
Been a bit of a family drama this weekend. It's been a little tense and I hate not being able to help.
The heating packed up. I had a mini tantrum and found the boiler man's email. Turns out it's the meter! The meter is now replaced but I need to go to British gas to complain because they took £120 from me and didn't apply it to my meter and didn't bother telling me. In this time I've not been functioning at my best otherwise I would like to think I would have captured it sooner. I'm so annoyed. Largely at myself really.
Went to this really swanky do with work on Friday. It was black tie and I felt completely out of place, it's a different world. Very enjoyable though, I'd like to visit that world again some time.2 -
Hope you can sort the money out with British Gas KP 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1

Went to the carboot and got hit on by a guy in the back of a car. When I gently declined his offer, he told me that I look like the kind of girl who sits awake at night wondering what a real man is like. So I told him I was a lesbian. Like, ngl it's an easy way to get out of those situations. But seriously you go to a carboot to get a bargain not a date?! Is this where I'm going wrong? Lol) If he was sitting in the back of the car was it like a limo type situation or more 'No Scrubs?'
Sorry to hear re the family drama and as a woman who had to get the Ombudsman involved in my Scottish energy company gas meter issue and its still not sorted - all I can advice is keep records of every communication, bill and payment cos they seem to all have a playbook of denials and lying.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

All I can say is wear your nicest hat, the wedding is tomorrow with back seat Romeo!
Had a bad week at work last week. Ended up spending a lot of money on food, like a lot. Oh well, been trying a lot harder on that this week and so far it's working. I'm pretty pleased with this.
Today I decided to cook some of the freezer stock that has been there for an excessively long time. I basically took everything that had to be done in the oven and cooked it altogether. Worked quite well but pushed my energy usage right up! It's over £2.50 today which I don't think I've ever seen. Still, the food was good and I've got space back in my freezer.
Went on a mad spending spree at the weekend. Got this little crafting caddy thing, it's the size of a small suitcase with compartments and stuff for £15, embroidery thread £3 for a bunch and felt (nice felt) for £2. There was a crafter clear out event so I popped along to have a nose. Then at the carboot I got felt (kinda basic felt) 50p, five packs of drawer liners £2.50 and err wool. Whoops!
The felt is for the eyes of some of the characters I want to make. The drawer liners are for more projects like the trunk.
Most importantly I spent more time trying to get this picture than making the hat!
Worth it.7 -

They are gorgeous girls aren't they? Their brother still hasn't turned up but I live in perpetual hope.
Sadly carboot season is over. This is a shame because I really enjoy that couple if hours that is just a mooch in a field with my mum occasionally buying things.
I have (probably prematurely) decided to design my first crochet pattern. It's loosely based on a free pattern but I've changed almost everything. I've started on the head so I will report back when it either goes right (woohoo) or wrong (boo).
Today I have sent £1k over to mum, I've nearly paid off my car now!
Painted the doors of my cabinet, looking pretty good but slightly fuzzy...but given it's just for me I'm not fussed! Or should I say fuzzed?
Work is rubbish, basically been working and sleeping. I think the combination of stress and the weather is really spiking my pain levels but I plan on feeling better within minutes.
Right, this has been a procrastination because I have work ( we are severely understaffed) to do.1 -
Oh dear I hope work eases up a bit for you KP, are there any indoor boot sales in the winter near you? The huge one near us shuts about now which is a shame.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
