Tidying has taken a bit of a hit, I'm aching like crazy. Not sure if I've hurt myself or its the weather!

Apparently I'm an aggressive crocheter as I broke the hook! But my donkey has its head attached to its body. No eyes, ears or tail yet! I also apparently stuffed the head much less than the body! But it does stand, even if it does look like it's Bambi on ice.

Had to speak to one of my bosses today, one of the juniors said that she was scared to talk to him. This man is a genuinely lovely guy, so I have no idea why. It's a very awkward conversation to have!

Soon I'm going to be by the sea, very much looking forward to relaxing, maybe even watching a storm! I'm about as in land as you can get in this country so I do like a bit of dramatic sea action.
  • Ooh, which direction are you heading in for your sea adventure?

  • I think it's a thing that if you live a long way from the sea, you do become a bit obsessed with seeing the sea. Definitely true for me!

Now I know why I kept all my old metal ones & dumped the plastic ones.  Sorry I had to laugh!

It was so sudden! I have switched and it's not as painful on the hands either! Why did I bother with the plastic one?

Honestly didn't know so many people liked crochet, it's like a whole new world of people. There's this woman on YouTube who has hundreds, maybe even thousands of balls of yarn. It seems excessive. Fascinating but excessive. How much money do these people spend?

@South_coast I'm off to Hastings. Never been before, have you? Have any suggestions?

I like to look at the sea but not go in it. I can't swim despite years of lessons. I pretend to swim, but actually it's only me pushing off the side that moves me forward. There's not really an edge to the sea. Or is it an ocean?

Today has been a total waste. I woke up, felt sick went back to sleep, woke up at 11, went to see if I could get the little mini spin scrubber from Aldi (big fat no!),went back to bed and woke up at 5. I had things to do! I've only hoovered the hall! I have so many chores!
  • I have been to Hastings! It was quite a while ago though *counts fingers* er, 16 years! That was before the pier burned down (why do so many have fires 🤔?) I remember being very impressed by the pier having shops which were "indoors" (ie undercover). Sorry, reminiscing about a destroyed structure is not the kind of pointers you were looking for 🤣!

  • There does appear to be a pier so I'm hoping to visit it tomorrow. Hastings actually has a lot of stuff here. They have the smugglers caves, a castle, a true crime museum (been to this one and it's fantastic), a tea museum, a contemporary art gallery and I think they have another museum somewhere. They also have old and new Hastings. Old has a lot of little shops like jewellers and a fake for and vintage velvet shop. Yep! New Hastings has the chain shops and little shops and a haberdashery. They also had a shop that said it was a discount pet shop but was basically like a b&m. I did manage to buy the cats a toy so that's the important thing.

With injury and ill health we haven't managed to do too much. But been lovely!

I'm worried about my mum. She's getting symptoms of confusion and forgetting and pains again. She's got an appointment with the doctor but I'm scared she won't remember to tell him.

Also finished my donkey but it doesn't look like the pictures which is quite annoying. I'm certain I followed the instructions!
  • Would your mum let you help her write down all her symptoms and pains and examples to give to the doctor?

  • Or could you go along with her?

Hastings sounds good, may have to put that back on my "to visit" list - it's getting longer!
