Thank you! I'm nervous that the new job won't be what I hope but, gotta try!

The kitchen is okay! It stank for a while. The only victims were the grill, a few tea towels and my sister's nerves.

Offered to extend my notice by a week today. I'm just not going to get everything done in 5 and a bit weeks. Some of the juniors told us (two seniors who are both leaving within a month of each other) that they don't know how they will cope. Bless them, they will be fine. It's nice and all but it does show how much work leans on a few of us and let the others coast by.

Feeling pretty good today, my tiredness has been pretty bad recently (does allergies do that?) So I'm doing some gentle tidying so I don't over do it.

It's my friends birthday soon, she said she was looking for a backpack so I might get her a Pokémon one. She loves Pokémon more than I do! I play the storyline and stop, she attempts to catch them all!

Dog is ok I think? How much attention do dogs need? I need to convince him to brush his teeth I think

Money wise, not doing so great. I get grumpy then I go out to eat. This is bad for the wallet! However, I've nearly recouped the money for the roof and nearly paid off mum. Mum and I have the same talk every few months that I don't need to pay her back (I do) and I don't need to pay her rent (it's £50 a month). It's cute that she thinks she can refuse my money. Push comes to shove, I'll literally put the cash into one of her hidey holes.

Oh and I'm going to my final work charity quiz soon! So sad! I love doing them but I'm unlikely to get invited at the new place. The last one I went to, I won a £150 voucher!!

I'm sad to announce I did not win anything at the quiz. My boss however won 3 times! I was fuming!

Still looking for a chair, and I need to put up the secondary desk. It's like a wall mounted fold down table. I'm going to put it next to the bureau (I don't know how to spell that).

Had the car in for a service and I need to get something with the coolant system fixed. Very annoying! Cars are just so expensive.

While I was waiting for the car, I was crocheting and I had a stranger asking me about it. He thought I was making it to sell which was cute. I can't make anything you can get actual money for! Also I'm very slow so it would be appalling hourly rate!

Told a couple of client I will be leaving, one I was sad about. When you have lovely clients who are trying their best, you just want to keep them!

My eyes puffed up a fair amount over the week, but the stronger antihistamine worked well. Can you ask a doctor for an allergy test? Is it allowed or is it rude? I dunno, doctors are complicated beasts.

Anyway onto the important stuff, spent £115 on new glasses. Identical to my old ones, I'm consistent.
Will be spending another £250ish on a chair this weekend. I was looking for one on marketplace, but the only suitable ones are £100 or don't message back. Paying £100 would be fine if it weren't for the risk of the chair being faulty or not as described. Found a place that does refurbished office stuff so it's adjustable in the seat depth, lumbar support, back height and arms. I feel it's important to protect my back since I have had so much issue in the past with it (it's doing pretty good at the moment).
Still need to book in my car, had a manic week so just forgot. That's another £190.
Basically, what I'm saying is I'm spending a lot at the moment.

Doctors can be funny about allergy tests I think, because there are quite high risk. But if you don’t ask, you won’t get.

Nothing wrong with buying the same glasses again - I’m on my second pair of these ones. Just wish they’d only cost me £115!

Definitely look after your back - as someone suffering at the moment, having a healthy back is worth every penny!

Why are they high risk? I should probably Google, I just assumed they were just a thing people do?

I was very lucky actually! They gave me a £50 discount for some reason, no idea why, and my sister's work allows her to buy gift cards at a discount.

Sorry to hear about your back, has anything caused it do you know?

They are high risk because if you react rely strongly you can end up in anaphylaxis- not something any doctor wants to cause!

My back is a long story, but have appointment booked with physio for Wednesday, so hoping it’ll improve from then!

Hasn't really thought about that... But surely it's best to have it with a doctor than in the wild?

Good luck for physio! High hopes for you!

The carboot has absolutely nailed it. Got an orangebox ergonomic chair for £75 plus the guy carried it to my car for me ! Not sure I would have made it without him! It has adjustable seat depth, lumbar support and arms! I also bought a crochet kit for 50p (it's a unicorn) a crochet book for 60p (didn't have the right change, two sorta rattan weaved boxes for £8 and an argumon for £1. When I find a digimon I pick them up, digimon forever.

Talking of digimon, I'm playing digimon survive and a plot point was so devastating that I had to stop playing and contemplate my life.
