They taste alright actually! Surprised.
I have the sad news that my net worth has dipped below £100k again.
Not shocked but annoyed!3 -

I count the flat, but at it's purchase price less my outstanding mortgage. I don't account for unrealised gains.2

Oh, just for the record. Last night I woke up because the cat was touching my nose with her's. Gently. I was confused and groggy for ages

That’s very sweet! I wish mine were so gentle! Sandpaper tongue incites me to wake up and give b&w cat the love he so desperately needs, having been separated for a whole 8 hours! (Which is after he cried at the door until we let him in usually… bring in the spare room at the moment isn’t great, the door won’t shut properly and their time keeping isn’t all that!).killerpeaty said:Oh, just for the record. Nothing to say about NW though - I don’t track mine as I’ve never worked out what to include/exclude!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ah, well if I'm counting it then yes I am over, although if I sold it I'd still need to pay for somewhere to live 🤷♀️?killerpeaty said:I count the flat, but at it's purchase price less my outstanding mortgage. I don't account for unrealised gains.Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Boy, you guys are up early! @themadvix Poor b&w being so cruelly neglected while you selfishly sleep! Ahahaha cats are such jerks but we love them!
@SouthCoast while I understand your point, I would say that as renting is an alternative to owning, there is value (to me) in tracking how much much I have paid for the capital element. Also it gives me a guide in what I would be leaving my family when I die. Allowing me to get a leg up on the competition (HMRC). But I do have a subtotal for everything but the flat.3 -

Yesterday was my birthday, it was lovely. My sister was unwell so we had a chilled one, ended up in an IKEA eating meatballs.
I received some lovely gifts including a beginner's upholstery set, it was so sweet because the place it was purchased from sent it all gift wrapped with "thank you" stickers. It'll come in handy when I start on the chairs.
Annoyingly, I started working on the bedside table and when I took the masking tape off, it took off quite a lot of paint. Now I'm contemplating sanding it all off, touching up the damage or just putting it up in my room for use until I get sick of it looking so bad.
I received a final demand from AAT, at some point I will pay it on time. This year is not that year.
I have contemplated putting money into my investments. But I'm holding off, I do think it's a good time to take the risk, however I have a large amount coming from my credit card (hen night accommodation). I also have not received my council tax bill which I'm concerned about. I also feel I should pay more off of my debt to my mum before I invest more.

I think most councils have published their increases for this year, if you're concerned about it? I've not had my new bill yet, but the increase is online so I can work it out. Don't forget they'll be sending you £150 if you're band A-D as well xMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
